I don’t recall them explaining why this has happened so presume that it hasn’t been mentioned at all?.
I agree. I see no reason to stop giving them out at the end of activities.

Either they are out of coins, or the minting machine is broken!

They give us thousands of currencies we can’t use but when there’s one we might…it gets nerfed.

Edited by Lakemine: 3/22/2022 2:41:22 PMThis is a theory, so take it with a grain of salt. I also don’t really have a a lot of evidence to prove it, so again, not saying this is “THE” truth but it makes sense to me. (And sadly the only way to get the actual truth is ask the devs, and I HIGHLY doubt that would answer truthful. As it puts them in a negative light (either through maliciousness or stupidity) and bad PR, they don’t want that. Do they would either just ignore it or instead of actually answering the question, just give a “gift” instead to placate people and then they get distracted and stop asking for the truth.) Anyways, my theory is that ALL 30th anniversary content was supposed to be removed with the launch of TWQ. (Same with all of the seasonal content from seasons 12-15 and The Tangled Shore) (MAYBE not the dungeon, but still.) Because all Eververse 30th anniversary content was removed on Feb 22nd. Question. It’s the eververse. Ask yourself WHY would they remove the option to sell more stuff? And remember it was released the first week of December, what’s 3 months after that? (The length of a typical season? 🤔) The release of TWQ. Season of the Lost was an abnormal extension to 6 months. (Same with Arrivals iirc) So my theory was that the 30th anniversary stuff was supposed to launch WITH TWQ, as that would incentivize and bump up numbers more. (Even still having the spliced pricing gambit.) BUT the outcry from MANY people over having to farm Dares for rank 16 for the Forerunner catalyst and costs of the items, and the “power creep/pay to win” of the artifice armor, they went “Oh crap. This is supposed to be 30th cake day, we don’t want this image facade ruined (remember most people care about the holographic image exponentially, so they will put effort and agency to preserve it. Now the breaking point where greed/selfishness/laziness crash into that facade is different for every entity.) um…..we need to just leave it in the game for a year? Yeah. Just make it seem like that was our intention all along. We never ACTUALLY stated if we were going to remove it or not, so they can’t call us liars! (“Oh! Very good point! You covered our posteriors. Obviously more important then clear communication.”) Just leave it in and we will figure out the dungeon monetizing later.” Now fast forward to TWQ launch. Strange coins are removed from everything (because IMO the original coding for them had a internal timer on them that was supposed to be automatically deleted so they no longer dropped in the playlist content.) and the bonus round when it activated, would just be blank leaving the Dare match stalled and people would have to quit and restart. Why? IMO, the coding that activated the bonus round was still there, but the coding FOR the bonus round was deleted along with all the other content that got removed. Remember, in my theory not only was it going to be removed on Feb 22nd but ALOT of content was removed as well, and we all know Bungie has convoluted coding spaghetti mess. So something could have been overlooked/missed. Took them a few weeks to fix it as well. (I’m still having to farm them I’m rank 12/16) Also another little tidbits. The dailys don’t reset daily, they only reset on the weekly resets (Tuesday and Friday) Again leading me to the conclusion that this content was originally supposed to be removed with the launch of TWQ but they extended it because of the negative backlash for the 30th anniversary image. And keeping just the dungeon that early (before the new dungeons had come out later this year so people would get used to having dungeons decoupled from the price inclusion) would have showed their hand for the original intent for the 30th anniversary “season”. (Which was 2x a regular season price) Now, remember. This just a theory, so take it with a grain of salt. But it makes sense to me with their mindset. The motivation fits with their actions they have done. I want to be wrong, and that it was just an oversight/incompetence that the strange coins arnt dropping in the playlists. But sadly I do believe it was a choice they consciously did. (Also with content having automatic timers. I am mainly basing that off my experience with SWTOR and GW2. So they don’t have to patch the game every reset or the start/end of EVERY event. Yeah, most do. But not everything. Again, the automated timers mean less work (which has pros and cons to it) Because they have been times when people would ask for extensions on events and the devs would respond with “Sorry, that would require a patch and can’t do that atm.”)

No , think about how many para causal boxes u bought just capping out your coins . I had 75 boxes. That’s a ton of XP & free exotics . You know they don’t want us getting that for free on the side so they took it off the menu for that reason. To keep us GRINDING for HOURRRSSSSS

Edited by Bore: 3/23/2022 9:39:12 PMDares of eternity was always staying. Strange coins no longer dropping in playlists is intentional. This is the way they have treated similar currencies since season of opulence with its runes.

Sounds logical, cause Dares is pretty fun, so why should Bungie want to keep it?
