I wanna say troll, but for the chance you may be serious:
You don't have to trash the intel, just run PysOps and pop the chest. Run more than one pysops as you need to run 6 total in a week IIRC to get those powerful rewards. Burn through all your Intel so you have room rather than through it away. That's on you.

It's awful design. Whichever way you cut it, it's forcing you to play something extra to do a task, then do something else extra. Both things shouldn't be needed.

It's the seasonal ritual activity. Why would it not be needed? It's not hard, or time consuming. Hell if more people grabbed anti-champ mods maybe it would feel like I'm the only one doing work in these things, but that's the laziness of other players, nothing bungie can fix beyond forcing players into weapons they clearly don't want to use. If you have friends, have them come along and focus on speed clearing the psyops. You can cheese the pysops too if you care to look into it. There are ways to make the grind more enjoyable, most of that will be with friends or clanmates. This isn't a solo game, as much as most people want it to be. yes, you will have to grind, but that's what Destiny has always been, is it more than you're willing to put in? Then maybe this game isn't for you anymore. Not bashing anyone, just giving some advice. If you like the game, don't be so hard on the developers, they have families to feed and keep happy and healthy, hopefully the same as you would.

You can speed run without killing champions. On the note of champions it’s idiotic that you unlock a pinnacle well before you get the powerful reward. Again terrible design. One of many clear decisions where its doubtful they play test or they just ignore those who do. Either away just more QoL issues they seem to ignore in favour of boosting numbers in activities. This is the bungie MO and I’m sure will only get worse with Sony over watch.

I mean, it tells you that you should run an anti champ mod, but doesn't force you to at least have the mod equipped. I know that would be a gripe people would have, but you SHOULD be running those mods if you're solo, so I don't feel too bad. As for Bungie MO or "terrible design", it's not perfect, but I've seen far worse.
