Received an app update that the companion will support the name change. I get an error when trying to save:
Bungie Name Change Failed
Your Bungie Name could not be updated.
Still error 17 when trying to use Bungie.net, so whatever the issue is, persists on the app with a different error code.
Again, this is DIFFERENT from the “no name change available” bug, as I am able to try and change the name field, just errors when trying to save.

My husband got error 17 on the bungie website. I read about the companion app possibly working. He re-download it and tried there too. Same error 17. Bah. So frustrating.

Other than the initial tweet about it a couple days ago, yeah, nothing. Even if it's just "Hey we're still working on this and don't have an ETA yet", I think that'd go a long way for most folk like us.
