Alright, so I'm starting this off by saying that the expansion story wise, is awesome. Legendary, while some points seemed a little over turned for 2 players, me and my friend made it work and we enjoyed the overall experience.
As for the title of this here post, this is my take, my opinion, on Weapon Crafting and Resonance, as well as the seasonal stuff we've been given so far.
First, the battlegrounds are typical, nothing ground breaking. 1 opening section, followed by 3 smaller, with a final showdown. The fights are just engaging enough to keep me on a swivel, but nothing overly complex.
The drops the runic chest is given are clearly weighted for dropping gear over weapons. This is the issue with the system. We are rolling a dice to get a weapon, only then do we get an additional roll to see if we're lucky enough to get one with resonance/attunement. Most weapons take 3-5 attunements before we can craft our own and begin enjoying the system they created of crafting out own godroll.
Suggestion: Allow drops for the weapons we have not obtained the pattern for to always be resonance/attunement until the pattern has been obtained. Afterwards we can get this occasional drop for materials. Granted this system would have to check if the user already received enough to complete the attunements to unlock the pattern, and that they turned them in. I'm happy to keep the limits of the materials where they are if we simple just drop weapons with attunements until the pattern is complete.
Alternatively, make the patterns require less. 1 for the patterns needed for the exotic glaive questline, 2 for the rest. Raids maybe taking 3.
My reasoning is that think about the addition of another RNG roll for what is already an RNG roll.
If we simplify this down, we get the follow situation:
Player completes something that would reward an engram, first the engram needs to roll if it's an armor piece or weapon, lets say this is a 1 in 20, or a 20 sided dice(D20) chance. If player rolls a 20, they get their weapon of choice. Now, add an additional D20 roll after getting a 20, and if that also rolls a 20, then the player would be rewarded with an attunement weapon.
Easy math, 1 in 20 chance twice would be 20 x 20, giving us a 1 in 400 chance to achieve this attunement weapon(Can you imagine running the new raid 400 times in an attempt to get 1 resonant attunement for that new glaive?). So some players could see hundreds of engrams, before they get the weapon they're searching for with 1 attunement, let alone having to do that again for patterns requiring multiple attunements.
Obviously this doesn't account for many factors in the background, but it is a simple example that I believe anyone could understand.
Do you believe the multiple patterns are needed? If so, why?
Additional question: Should attunements be tweaked depending on their drop source?

And the quest for the 15 step quest is more steps than that including possible 3-500 wellspring runs. And they say online that it wasn't even worth it. The wellspring is okto do the first 20 times i guess, if you have two TVs and a Roku and kindly pay attention while you watch tv. Even doing it that way i am giving up. I got about 6 tarnation's and finally a red one, many many runs, it will take i hear at least 3to get that pattern. Then you also gotta get the auto rifle come to pass. That's not gonna come to pass, at least for me it's not. I got a red one. Finally but it didn't matter because you gotta get 3+. So once i finally get these patterns that quest for the quest will be over and i can finally begin the15 step actual quest. I think there is also another quest to get a qualicore thing. O an only half way in that. It's also a piece of work. I don't know what happened to just going and doing an exotic quest.. i already have seen reasons to only get it for the hunter. Which no way in hell I'm gonna do it for each character. They turned destiny into Warframe.
