Weapon Crafting: 2 Simple ways to fix the Grind-Heavy system.

I love Destiny 2. I have for years. I've played it, grinded it, gotten engaged in the story and have even shared it with my friends and family. However, this new system of weapon crafting leaves A LOT to be desired and has me frustrated. We have all waited years for weapon crafting but bungie has fallen short of our hopes for two reasons. First, the fact that the weapon traits are not a permanent unlock. After grinding to level your weapon and unlock all the traits, you should feel excited to see what a new enhanced trait will do to your awesome weapon! You should be excited to unlock everything on your weapon, so you can find the perfect god-roll for you. Is that the case right now? No. You need to grind for Red-Ringed weapons and attune them. You need to farm for Ascendant Alloys. Then, after you've spent hours farming, you spend a TON of your work on one weapon trait. The problem is if you want to try another trait, you have to re-lock the first trait. So if you decide you liked the first one more, you have to redo the entire farming process to unlock the first trait that you already grinded for. That is my biggest issue and it confirms my fear that Bungie has no respect for their players' time. My second issue is that I'm now starting to store the red ringed weapons which I have attuned, because some of my crafting materials are capped at their limit. Isn't weapon crafting supposed to reduce the required vault capacity???? INCREASE OR REMOVE THE CAPS on all of the weapon crafting materials. 250 is ridiculous. Not even enough for 4 enhanced traits. I wish it was easier to get weapon patterns, but I can live with what we have now. What I can't live with is so much grind, just to experiment on the weapons I've already crafted. Permanent unlocks. Increased Crafting Material caps. Do you guys think that these two things would help make the weapon crafting better? Do you think I missed the mark on this, or do you think this would work? Are there any other ideas that could help improve the system?
