2 RepliesWhy is asking that teammates know what to do in a raid "toxic"?
-
People want to follow, not lead. Participate, not work. Be supported, not support others. This works both ways, friend.

In Destiny 1 I used to be in a great clan of people who laughed and helped each other out and helped newbies.

1 ReplyYou want to see toxic? Go check out those tras.. people on the Destiny Reddit

The fact that around 95% of the playerbase never ever attempt to raid/nor complete it I would say that in 6-12 months, the “KWTD” cries will still fall on deaf ears -
Edited by PS1 Hagrid: 3/7/2022 5:23:12 AMFrom my experience I just stopped raiding in particular. While yes the raid experience is fun and I do intend to try this one out sometime I've learned that you really don't need to raid in order to get to pinnacle power cap. Unlike D1 where you basically had to do the raid, I don't understand why they changed it but until they make it that way again I'll never raid unless I actually wanna try it or you need to do it for power. Before you ask really the only raid I've done was VoG but I wanted vex (which I thankfully got in like 6 runs which I apologize if none of you still haven't gotten it) and I wanted to feel the nostalgia.

1 ReplyI wouldn’t consider it toxicity, people just want a team that won’t take 12+ hours to get through the encounter. Kwtd is expected, especially on contest mode. if you don’t know how to play the raid I wouldn’t want to play with you either, same goes for knowing how to read. Not being mean or elitest, just common sense.
-
Yup. And it doesn't stop at gatekeeping.

4 RepliesToxic Developers create a toxic community.

And you expect people to be able to teach this in under a day You are the toxic one
-
The whole raid part of the game is garbage I don't play games to deal with randos or b.s mechanics destiny end game content is sitting in orbit.
-
People are trying to do contest, chill out.
-
1 ReplyDon't let it stress you out. Raiding is a mini-game in this game. Very few people do it. Crucible is were the real action is at.

First time?

You can learn what to do before you even step in it. Number one is learn the glyphs.
-
It’s mostly the Destiny app LFG… I game on PC and people tend to be cool and understanding…

Bro I bounced between a few teams and some were straight toxic, sorry I don’t have dedicated elite raiders to play with but I swear some people need to chill. We were at caretaker and some one left so we got a new guy who said “you guys haven’t beaten it yet?” And then left right after. Like bro wtf you joined our check point. Not to mention the people who host a team then get made over stupid wipes and blames everyone but themselves. Man kept falling of the map for the third encounter final room 😂 but it was our poor titans fault and kicked him, I was done after that.

They don’t want to waste their time. Make your own post and stop crying.
-
It's why I stopped trying for the raids now. After it got to be too much for the "KWTD or Kick, because you have to know everything about the raid waaay before it even drops" I just lost interest in it all. Now I just do my own thing an if the chance to raid with others comes up, then it happens. But it own't be for long as it is. I don't ask to be carried or any of that as it just isn't fair to be an extra weight for other players. In my opinion as it were.

Yep, gone are the days with Wrath of the Machine Raids, where people would ACTUALLY TALK and help one another out. This D2 community is arrogant, selfish and hopeless

2 RepliesMake your own post with no requirements

30 RepliesThat’s not toxic. What’s toxic is looking at someone else’s post and complaining that they asked for what they wanted. Which is specifically what lfg was made for. You are more than capable of making your own lfg post. It’s like if you posted a wanted ad for a red corvette and someone telling you “bro your toxic. You should buy any color corvette”
-
I don't get these posts. You have the option of making your own lfg with no requirements.
-
Yup a shame

2 RepliesEdited by neonsox42: 3/7/2022 1:20:39 AMMost people with KWTD are putting that because they want someone to teach them. If you don’t feel like chancing it, make your own post and ask for a teacher (probably what I’ll do tomorrow). Takes an extra sec, but gets you what you want and there’s a 0% chance of you being kicked.
