1 ReplyI think VOG and Crota in D1 were perfect raids. Some mechanics and communication was needed at certain spots. There wasn't this need for the kwtd or kick posts.
-
you mean people dont want to waste their personal time that may be very limited to teach other people how to do it? sounds like youre the toxic one, demanding that other people carry you through -blam!-. Entitled much?
-
19 RepliesOh it's much worse than that. A lot of those KWTD groups ALSO expect people joining to have cleared it already. The number of groups I was rejected from because I didn't have a clear yet is staggering. So...yeah. A large portion of the raid community is super toxic and elitist.

This is an amazing boss fight. I love the whole dark souls vibe and actually fighting moving bosses, brings me some good flash backs to dark souls bosses. A pity my team didn't beat it day 1 as we were just tired with busy adult schedules. One of my top 3 raids experiences for sure.

3 RepliesEdited by LloydIsGolden: 3/8/2022 12:31:59 AMYeah I am honestly sick and tired of seeing KWTD on every single raid post and I rarely see people offering to help or teach raids these days and it is awfully depressing. I tried raids in the past with LFGs and I never once had a great experience doing a raid before. One time I was being mocked and laughed at and their family was in on it too because I didn't understand what I was supposed to do in the Leviathan Raid and I felt like -blam- and I just left and I was heartbroken after that. Also when I was preparing for Beyond Light and I made an LFG post to get help with Strikes and two people mocked me for not having the correct mods and I didn't know how mods worked at the time since I only played Destiny for 9 or so months at the time and they still mocked me without even offering to explain the point of mods. At this point Raids are something I truly won't ever get to enjoy or experience because LFGs ruined them for me. I really want to do a Raid so so badly but I will never get that chance since people don't seem to care enough to teach them anymore. I rather have people I know to help me instead.
-
Well I mean you could make your own group and hope for the best?
-
First time?
-
3 RepliesSo many people complaining about people's lfg posts, why don't you all make your own .
-
2 RepliesByproduct of Bungie’s absurd mechanics.
-
9 RepliesFfs “toxic” doesn’t mean anything anymore. You ppl have relegated it to “micro-aggression” status aka nobody takes you seriously These forums aren’t toxic. Y’all are just way too sensitive about every little thing. By all means, complain. But stop blaming everyone else for your experience. Make your own post. Mute the -blam!-. Turn off cross play. Buy another game. Rub one out. Holyshit start taking responsibility for your own life
-
7 RepliesThen watch some videos and get an idea of what to do, don't rely on others to teach you the mechanics. TBH this raid is fairly easy to do, but you can't get carried through it. Everyone has a role in every encounter.

Just like fanbois: sure

Destiny community is soft af Fixed

6 RepliesEdited by Crota bin Oryx: 3/7/2022 10:29:51 AMThis community is a reflection of the real world shielded behind the mask of anonymity which encourages the worst in many. Ignore these toxic fools and carry on by making your own lfg posts.

Is it such a problem that people want a day 1 clear.. And have good players to get that done.. Damn guys.. Don't like it.. Make ur own group and fail for hours
-
The best is when they ask for 1560+ lol
-
10 RepliesThat's why I don't waste my time with raids. They add unnecessary mechanics. And then we have the toxic community asking for ridiculous requirements. No thanks.
-
7 RepliesDestiny has always been one of the most toxic games when it comes to raiding. Even in D1. It only gets worse. If it wasn't for FOMO Tactics that Bungie uses hardly anyone would even play the game.
-
1 ReplyYou only just realising this now! That's why i never lfg and just play with people in the clan. More fun to be had and no raging / moaning!
-
3 RepliesWelcome to the LFG experience Full of peoples thinking they are great because they watched 10 video but still can't do it
-
I get how it can be frustrating looking for a pick up raid game and how KWTD, especially attached to new content, can be perceived as toxic. In some cases it could be, I’ve played with people like this, but it isn’t always the case. First KWTD means different things to different people. To some it’s watch a video. To others it’s have experience. It’s good to ask when you join and to be upfront about your experience. I think it’s reasonable to have preference for how you want to play. If you want to go in blind or need help you can make a post. They aren’t as common but there are many players who enjoy taking others through content. If you don’t like using the companion app there are other places to LFG. I personally prefer the100.io On that site you can request a Sherpa/guide and schedule ahead of time. I also hear good things about Discord and Reddit. The best option though IMO is to find an active clan that is accepting members. Good luck and I hope you have a better experience LFG.

1. Post your own lfg 2. Educate your self about “contest mode”
-
Don't forget. Apparently you have to have 20+ clears to get in too. "Cause I totally didn't go touch grass after the first day"
-
That’s a requirement. Toxic would be if you messed up knowing no one has done it before and then got kicked from the raid
