Put a destination in the vault? Lose the planetary materials you’ve collected. Yes you might be able to trade them for something if you’re lucky but probably not.
Thousands of etheric spirals just vanishing into the void so why bother collecting them or getting them as ‘rewards’ if you ultimately lose them?.
Then you have hundreds of emblems, the vast majority look pretty ugly and I wonder how ‘popular’ they are and how many of us use them or change them regularly?.
And shaders! Unless you know a certain shader then you can spend an age trying out hundreds of very minor variations on an armour piece only to be happy with its look and then find that the same shader looks ugly on the next piece!.
It seems there’s a whole industry devoted to churning out emblems, shaders, planetary materials …and it sounds as though there’s a whole bunch of new ones coming shortly..or similar things we need to gather/collect yet we don’t get new PvP maps or new strikes or strike specific loot.
Yes I understand we want to stand out, I know we want to be individuals but there’s just so much stuff that seems irrelevant when you put it up against actual gameplay.
Is it just me or are Bungies game priorities a little bit skewed? What’s more important, the guns, the missions or being dressed like a peacock with an emblem that tracks your kills?.

1 ReplySome people must live in reality altering denial. Have you played any other game lately? I lost hope in games when weapon charms became a thing.
-
Yup, exactly. The core game needs love with content, pvp, strikes and gambit. Meanwhile we get 400 emblems, 308 shaders, 243 ghosts, 210 ships, 216 sparrows. The sheer amount of those items we have makes getting new ones WAY less exciting and invalidates them. Who actually cares about those? I'd pay 30k silver for a full set of new pvp maps. It's been 3 and a half years since we got a new map. I want content. Then you can push as many cosmetics noone needs as you wish. An oversaturation on the eververse side is undeniable. We also need new cosmetic ideas. Literally noone cares about the stuff that's sold in the store. It's all the same now. They need to peek at games like path of exile. Shiny auras, glowing armor, glowing weapons, pets, even glowing footprints, whatever. Just please no more ghosts. We have enough lol.

2 RepliesSaladin’s pride emblem. I don’t care to change it. I use ornaments only to create builds since there is no loadout option. Never really cared about shaders since there is no superblack or god of war. Haven’t pre ordered WQ precisely because I don’t play for a catwalk show but expect content, and not vaulted purchases. I’ll wait to see how the dlc turns out to be. If there is a lot of content I’ll buy it on sale. Idc about FOMO.

"One man's gold is another man's mud" Just as you may find something useless another player may prefer it.

4 RepliesEdited by hopesfall2own: 2/12/2022 2:03:10 AMYou didn't even mention ghost projections, 90% of the emotes, purple sparrows, purple ships, or purple ghost shells.

4 RepliesI kept an eye on Spiders inventory & cashed in my 6k+ Etheric a few weeks back. This a is a petty criticism. Staying on top of your inventory is part of the game & we all get plenty of notice when items are getting pulled. This on the player to stay on top of things.

1 ReplyTL:DR, but why not use them up before they vault? I mean, it's like stocks - you buy them, but you run the risk of them becoming worthless - so before they tank, you try to sell them off

Put a destination in the vault? Lose the planetary materials you’ve collected. Yes you might be able to trade them for something if you’re lucky but probably not.
Pretty sure Banshee offered upgrade modules in exchange for the duration of the season when BL launched. With only one material being retired, there should be no problem using it all up so long as they do the same again.
-
4 RepliesThe material complaint is a not a very good one. You’ve had, like, 2 or 3 years to spend your Spiral on spider. And you still got another week and a half. Your materials only go to waste if you let them.
-
1 ReplyIt's so lazy. Instead of finding a way to update something to keep it relevant, they just get rid of it. Seriously, does anyone here believe Bungie will put anything taken out of the game will eventually be put back in? Yeah, they put Ada back in the game, but where are all the weapon frames she offered? Where's my Hammerhead and Blast Furnace?

22 RepliesEdited by DarkMoonWolf666: 2/12/2022 8:44:31 AMAh yes 3 year old content going away that you did long ago ...but yea it leaving its an issue because you have lots of materials for that location .... I enjoyed these content when they were new...i remember farming ghost fragment to buy the bounty,it was fun ...but I'm also looking forward the new stuff and location that WQ will brings instead of wanting the old content to stay I'm someone that loved titan as a destination ....but man I'm glad it got removed before I start hating it for being used over and over with nothing new
-
But but how will bungie bring “new content” by brining old content back.

Is it just me or are Bungies game priorities a little bit skewed?
Yes, they've always been skewed. This company could not make videogames anymore. Their staff that made good games already left them and are long gone. This is not the same company anymore, and they could not even make good videogames anymore. Some people that lead them are not even videogame makers or are educated to make videogames!😆😆😆 I wouldn't trust or work for a company when my leader doesn't even know how to make videogames!😂😂😂 Now they've been exposed to harbor staff with abusive behaviours that are protected by HR department and the CEO knowing about it but did nothing. Old guard staff abusing powers and also protected by team leads. This has been going on for over a decade all the way back to the Halo days! 😂😂😂 Skewed!

Well said. Too much salad and not enough steak!

Thousands of etheric spirals just vanishing into the void so why bother collecting them or getting them as ‘rewards’ if you ultimately lose them?
You can not be serious with this argument? You literally collect it so you can use it. If we assume every destination will be vaulted at some point, just stop collecting all materials right now. Then you can’t trade with spider or get any of items that take that resource RIGHT NOW. Heck, the servers for the game will probably go down in 20 years so what’s the point of even playing the game right now? We all are going to die one day so what’s the point in breathing and eating if one day I won’t be able to anymore? Think harder and then try again.

Actual game play is expensive to make. Fluff is cheap. Bungle hopes that we’ll be distracted by the fluff and not notice the bad stuff.
-
7 RepliesI use the same emblem, sparrow and ghost on my main warlock character all the time. I never change them.
-
Bro, CoD is way worse with that stuff.
-
Honestly, patrol materials could stop existing and everything would still run the same.
-
I don’t care what new ghost shells come about, predator sun with no shader is easily the best!!
-
2 RepliesI’ve been using the young wolf emblem since D2 dropped. Some people ask me what it is. Hilarious stuff. So much of the game is useless fluff.
-
Edited by Sideswipe76: 2/12/2022 12:08:29 AMThe emblems made in COD put all the ones in this game to absolute shame. And there is the All Black and Glohoo shader they could easily bring back and charge for. Bungie either likes to just piss us off or is brain dead.
-
The game was full of fluff when I stopped playing last year, bloated in the Collections tab by shaders, emblems, ghosts, sparrows, ships and so on But the biggest thing definitely has to be the bloated and needlessly big repertoire of Legendary and Exotic gear lmao
-
There was so much more to do in D1 just before D2 came out. I know Bungie as a company is doing well these days, but that’s because people are buying stuff out the store that have no point aside from looking cool or having a cool emote. Honestly the fluff is what those people want and as Bungie watches the cash roll in they think “they don’t even care about legit content”. Think about all the patches, nerfs, and buffs they do. That’s all quality of life stuff.. But the find Toland bounty from Petra has been bugged since 2018. They don’t care about the game nearly as much as they care about keeping players happy enough to buy emotes. 💯
-
They should remove the fluff if it means higher FPS

4 RepliesDo we know if we're losing etheric spirals from our inventory? After Mars, Io and Titan went away, we were still able to dump off their respective mats on Spider long afterwards.
