Stop making harder difficulty = only higher light level

Look, I get it. There are streamers who can solo everything. And the devs don’t want that. But I’m just thinking back to the days in D1 when hard mode was not just “oh oh oh everyone one shots you and their health bars require 15 sleeper shots” hard mode was (1) you couldn’t die during an encounter, cause you couldn’t be revived and (2) new mechanics. Frankly, hardmode VoG is an insult. As are, frankly, GMs. I remember how raids used to be designed. Hard mode first, then take out one mechanic for normal. Even early D2 raids had this. Instead, Bungie has opted to take the easy way out. Please bring back mechanically difficult raids, instead of raids requiring players to just farm season pass levels.

  • Personally, I don’t have any issues with the harder difficulty but how the loot is structured around it. Loot should be based on a chance for RNG but a RNG that grants you the loot based off the difficulty and rewards you accordingly to it. Let the loot drop on any difficulty but make the loot much more rewarding the harder the content gets. God rolls and exotics should be a rare occasion not getting the loot itself.

  • I can see your point about raids, however, I think GM’s should stay the way they are. Raid difficulty should be more focused on mechanical difficulty, hence, extra mechanics. GM’s should be strategic difficulty, hence, higher light level. However, master raids should still be a higher light level, making it generally harder, and then add on the extra mechanic.

  • What exactly are you saying? GMs are too easy, or too hard? I think everything is fine as is, I’m no streamer and I can solo a few GMs. You want harder mechanics? Where? In VOG? VOG is just boring, DSC has some pretty good mechanics, Garden too. GMs are not just hard because you can get one shot, you need to know what you are doing, where you are going, who to kill first, who’s less important. Count how many ads you saw, because chances are one of them is hiding and waiting for you to forget him so he can stab you in the back. Be a little more clear, because I’m not exactly sure what you are saying.
