Hunter mains, what’s your thoughts on the Void 3.0 “changes”

As a hunter main myself, I’m curious to hear what others think about them. https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/51021 Since I had some people ask about where to find this info, I linked it here. Also in case some of you may not have seen it yet. Hope it helps

    As a long time hunter main I’m disappointed. I am going to be swapping to a warlock main and Titan secondary. All I see based on these buffs is invis spam. Titans and Hunters received all new abilities and we essentially got a hodge podge of what we already had with a long cool down shatterdive. I don’t see anything useful with an Arc 3.0 as melee based supers are only good in PVP so unfortunately that leaves Solar 3.0 as the last hope to give hunters more utility than invis spam.

    • Horrible, other Debuffs will continue to be superior compared to our Shadowshot. Exotics are inferior. Need I say more?

    • Let's call it what it is, a waste of time. Emphasising a re work of something we already have to sell the next expansion is just poor taste. Things like this are supposed to be second thoughts, 'oh cool they made all 3 subclasses like stasis' not sell us 3 different expansions focused around re working 3 old subclasses. Instead, I think the community would rather time be put into either new subclasses or new maps.

    • I very much like what I've seen. I reckon that with the right setup we come away with a cc class on par with even bleaklocks.

    • Having read the blog article and now the TWAB unfortunately I feel like hunters got the short en of the stick on every way. Void rework and exotics sounding very VERY lame atm.

    • I quite like it, the heart of the pack buff not being mentioned so far is kind of concerning cause having some leeway on those stats helped with build crafting quite a bit. The smoke dive ability is either going to be insane(honestly the more likely one) or pretty bad depending on the radius which looked pretty big based off what we saw along with its interaction with omnioculous or kephri's. The new tether looks at least usable in PvP. In PvE though hunters might get brought up quite a lot from this. Yea they still aren't gonna be out damaging a TC titan or support like a well but why does that matter if your literally never shot at. Along with the amount of weaking they can apply then they could have a group of adds basically never shoot back while also taking extra damage and looping invis. The titan one has some potential as their suppressor grenades could in theory apply weakened, suppression, and volatile which is hilarious to me but idk how good it will be. Also some decent potential for grenade spam. The warlock one has the best flavor but I don't know how good it will be although its looking pretty good.

    • I'm really excited to play it, but I'm worried about losing the heart of the pack buff for invis. It's been a great start for incentive to play supportively while also benefitting the hunter for playing it.

      • They’re really good. Having a debuff like weaken on a melee cooldown seems fun and I think omnioculus and the new shatterfart are gonna be really fun to play with. Just the ability to invis and debuff with the same smoke bomb opens up a lot of possibilities in my head. I hope that the fragment for weakening enemies with grenades and the warlock’s black hole buddy doesnt invalidate the nightstalkers role, but time will tell tbh.

          • I want to be optimistic but stylish executioner replacing flawless execution is just not good imo. Stylish seems to just be a less efficient version of flawless execution. I’ll wait until Witch Queen to decided whether is the subclass is good or not, but I will say that it’s definitely on shaky ground. I very well may stop playing Nightstalker (my favourite subclasses) if these changes don’t turn out to be better in game. Hell I’m thinking about swapping to be a warlock main at this point.
