SIVA season Ideas

With origin traits being a thing in the Witch Queen I came with an idea for a SIVA weapon foundry trait and perks. Story: Gredis the Gifted, the new “Kell” of House Salvation has united with House Dusk remnants after finding SIVA onboard the Exodus Black on Nessus and repaired the replication chamber under the Darkness’ “guidance”. The Plaguelands have once again started to produce SIVA, and House Dusk is sending SIVA to Earth for replication and Europa to the Salvation Splicers. Join Shiro-4 in sabotaging the SIVA Alliance’s plans in spreading the corruption and put a stop to the plague once and for all. Activities: Sabotage: Stop the Splicer alliance’s plans in using SIVA. Earth: Stop the Splicers from replicating SIVA in the missile bunker Nessus: Stop the Fallen from shipping SIVA off-world Europa: Stop House Salvation’s Splicers from augmenting Vex with SIVA in the Deep Stone Crypt laboratories. Quarantine: Infiltrate Riis “Perfected” on Europa (or the Rebuilt Replication Complex in the Plaguelands) and destroy various SIVA replicators and the Splicer Priests protecting them every week. (Gredis Perfected and Replication Chamber on last week) Traits and perks: SIVA Enhancements (foundry trait): Precision kills generate SIVA nanites, dealing damage (a weaker version of Corruption Spreads on Outbreak Perfected) Parasitism (Became a trait outside of Outbreak like Firefly did): Nanites attached to enemies weaken them, dealing more damage. Virus Protocol: Aiming down sights with this weapon and getting a precision kill creates a SIVA micro swarm that damages and weakens enemies inside. Weapons: (all will have Outbreak Perfected aesthetic) Outbreak Prototype: 450 RPM SIVA(Kinetic slot Element) Auto Rifle (Perfected but as an auto rifle) Outbreak Precision: 180 RPM SIVA Scout Rifle (OP/Omolon Hybrid scout) Outbreak Suppressed: Precision SIVA Fusion Rifle (OP/Vanguard Hybrid Fusion) Outbreak Hunted: 90 RPM SIVA Sniper Rifle (OP/Hakkê Sniper Hybrid) Exotics: (~PHOENIX SUBROUTINE~) SIVA seasonal Heavy Grenade Launcher Exotic Trait: (~QUARANTINE PERFECTED): This weapon fires grenades that generate SIVA nanites upon explosion. Trait: Chain Reaction(~MODIFIED): kills with this weapon form SIVA mite swarm clouds that weaken nearby enemies. Catalyst: Chain Reaction (~PERFECTED): Increased velocity. Kills with this weapon generate additional nanites (~SALVATION REPLICATE) SIVA Trace Rifle Exotic Trait: The Spreading Disease: Kills with this weapon generate SIVA nanite swarms that aggressively track onto enemies. Trait: Contamination Field: Enemies that die from nanites generate dramatically more nanites. Catalyst: Parasitic Pyrotechnics: reduced ammo consumption when holding down the trigger. Nanite kills create SIVA explosions and leave behind a mite cloud that damages and weakens nearby enemies. Raid: Wrath of the Machine (with all weapons) Outbreak Perfected: Now has the SIVA Element. Weapon drops at random. After defeating Aksis. Catalyst drops after activating all monitors and opening the chest under Aksis. Catalyst rework: Increased handling and nanite damage. final blows generate nanites(4), whereas precision kills (7->12) and rapid hits (3->7) generate even more nanites What do you think?

  • Siva was criminally underused. Fun fact- siva was originally supposed to be part of D2.

We destroyed the SIVA factory and killed the Kell of the Devil Splicers who had control over SIVA in D1. It was rendered inert after that, no more activity. Its dead, except for Outbreak Perfected which is the only thing that can create SIVA and it's in our hands. So no, SIVA isn't coming back.

    • I don't think bungie is completely done with Siva. I could be wrong, but there's a reason why they brought back outbreak out of all weapons. I don't believe it was simply because of fan service, but who knows! The question is what part of the witch queen expansion siva will play a part in? Will Ana Bray find a way to turn on Rasputin? Or better yet since Elsie Bray is technically from another timeline, will she give us a quest to travel through some time portal to a world where Siva is still active? Vex time travel and simulations are still a thing, so maybe that too will play a part somewhere in this next campaign.

Ur story is WAY too similar to Rise of Iron. I say instead that the Almighty crashed in the plaguelands, causing Siva to be released. But, because of radiation, Siva was able to create its own mind and many bodies. For a little while, they grew a small army. But, because Rasputin was shut down by the Pyramids, the new Siva mind was shut down. Yet, after Ana made Rasputin into an Exo (in an upcoming season), the Siva mind was reawakened and it turned the tens of thousands of Siva bodies on. Then, they started to march towards the Last City to rescue Rasputin, yet the mind had a deeper plan... corrupting the Traveler with Siva and stealing the light for itself to be the new owner of the light, blocking it from Guardians and the Lucent Brood, and fuse it with Siva. In this season, we would work with the Stranger, Ana, Rasputin, Clovis mind, Zavala, Saladin, Crow and Shaxx to repel the siege on the last city, which would be the seasonal activity. In it, you'd have to fight back waves of Siva, as they push towards the City, starting in the outskirts. A good small chunk of the city would now be explorable through said activity. There'd also be a community event where if we weren't able to keep the line long enough one week, the next week Siva would be advanced further into the City until they reach the Traveler or we defeat them. We'd also have weekly quests of us investigating the new plaguelands with Shiro-4, Banshee, Saint, and Ikora to try and find the mind hidden somewhere near the crashed Almighty. Yet, what we don't know is that the mind sent some of the Siva bodies to collect the remains of Quria, which it would corrupt with Siva to use it to control the Vex. They'd be used to strike on the opposite side of the Last City. At which point, we'd call on our four greatest allies to help us, Mithrax, Caitl, Savathun (yes her, she's been our greatest ally for the longest time), and the Awoken. In the end, if we win, Siva is destroyed for good and the remaining Vex goes into hiding. If we lose, we lose the light, the traveler, and our ghosts. But, Savathun would retake Quria (a power she would steal back from Xivu during the season after Witch Queen) and gift it to us, so we'd then have the power of the Vex at our disposal (something she tried to do in season 13). Caitl would reinforce the Last City with big Cabal guns, Mithrax would task his house in taking control of Earth from other remaining Fallen, Savathun would also help us learn the dark powers of the Hive (what she used to be now that she's back to being a Krill) as she transforms Earth into a Vex war machine that could travel anywhere at any time, the Awoken would reinforce us with a lot of troops.

        • No. This game doesn't need to bring that back. The game needs new original content. I get u miss Siva. But we destroyed it in the iron tomb. It's not coming back. It doesn't need to come back.

          • While it all sounds good and well......... Siva was destroyed when the replication chamber was reduced to rubble.....not to mention when the raid was beaten. If you're seeking any ideal.....story way forward. It has to begin with Rasputin and thoroughly involve him. There maybe more replication chambers out there. It's possible. But to expect anything substantial at this point is way out of the box. In short, you could use Siva as an additive to a story already in progress.........but it cannot be the mainline anymore.

            • Honestly I don't know why this guy is writing in the forum, he should be in a Bungie office making those ideas come true because they look great, count on my 10 dollars for that season and add 80 for the cosmetic shop.

            • I would like to see a season themed around Siva with Siva infused enemies(doesn't have to be Fallen even though the Devil splicers looked really cool),weapons and armour.Rise of Iron is my second fave dlc(Taken king is first).

SIVA is just too strong and has to be throttled with stupid in game decision making to make it a manageable threat. Splicers were dumb to modify themselves with it instead of unleashing it all to destroy the City. Having a small upgrade does Jack squat against an army of demi gods. This is a rehash of that. The Exodus ships carried enough SIVA to set up a colony for like what…ten or twenty thousand people? With Fallen able to come and go in the City and lingering animosity….that’s all you need to wipe the city out. Twiddling thumbs over an alliance to get more while the enemy that stopped you the last time is still around? It’s a prime example of not learning from past mistakes. That aside, the rest of the idea is good. I just feel that SIVA is the wrong avenue. I do appreciate the aesthetic of SIVA.
