EDIT: seems fixed now ! Haven't had issues in the last two hours.
The game is currently unplayable for players using the second biggest French ISP, "Free". You usually get weasel'l before even starting an activity, and so often that even a Crucible match cannot be completed.
- This is happening to hundreds of people per the Destiny France Discord
- Codes include weasel, anteater, centipede, bee.
- This has been ongoing since late Tuesday AFAIK and seem to affect all players on that ISP to various degrees, on Steam, PSN and XBox.
- Since around 20h CET Wednesday the bug essentially prevent people from playing at all, I commonly get kicked to the title screen right after picking a character.
- This happens on a wired, fiber connection that does 1Gbps down, 600Mbps up with perfect stability.
- Using a VPN apparently fixes the problem.
Please please please try getting in touch with Free to understand the problem - customer support doesn't consider this an issue on their end and technical support, when contacted, asks for a list of IPs used by Destiny servers, which I don't have.

1 ReplyThe Free operator has already been singled out some time ago, following connection problems on the Destiny 2 servers. 15 days after Bungie's announcement to address the issue, a patch was released and resolved. And it didn't come from Free.. So at some point, Bungie would have to think about having better P2P servers, stop accusing ISPs (because the last time like now, players outside of France had the same concerns and over the same duration therefore.... Straw.. Beam...) And leans a little more on this recurring bug, because if it appears each time, it is because each time they do the same errors in their update / maintenance / changes. Afterwards, if they have nothing to do with the impacted players, and do not try to resolve this concern, they may do something, if the said players demand a mass refund of the Witch Queen DLCs, or the various DLCs that they have acquired and which they cannot or no longer benefit from.
