As a mostly solo player im glad the campaign scales difficulty with how many players are on your fireteam- this is great and this system should be slowly integrated on the rest of Destiny
Reinforcing player numbers by doing things like making the game enjoyable even if you’re solo playing is a good move(even if Bungie took a while to figure it out)

2 RepliesI find it worth mentioning that back in the day (like, vanilla D1), certain missions actually did already scale in difficulty based on player count, the most prominent of those being Nightfalls. The scaling got "adjusted" close to Dark Below's launch then I believe it got removed outright going into D2. tl;dr: Bung0 got tired of people soloing Nightfalls (either by crawling through them with Icebreaker over the course of multiple hours, or by having Vault gear and just being good) so they buffed solo and duo Nightfall difficulty to incentivize players to go in with a fireteam. They've known about this concept for a while now, is all I'm saying.
