I am by no means trying to butter up to Bungie for the changes made in the TWAB today but I do read between the lines.
Think about how the approach Bungie has made in the past about handling sandbox changes.
There was a time they used to nerf entire archetypes for 1-2 weapons and here we are today, they are doing direct nerfs to perks on specific weapons.
Should the other archetypes have received some treatment alongside the Hand Cannons that got addressed?
Probably but if Flinch is the major factor to most players losing gunfights to a Hand Cannon users, then let’s see how it pans out.
All I am saying they could have went with the old route of sandbox changes which would have had most of you emotional ones losing your mind and throwing pitchforks.
In this TWAB they were as clear as they could possible be on the many changes they did and they didn’t go overboard. The crazy thing is they actually went after stuff that was perceived as broken in accordance with the playerbase and the data showcased.
We still have weeks before Witch Queen comes out and there is a potential chance of them addressing what is needed to help further improve the changes that were stated for this week’s TWAB.

Yeah, and Bungie has a habit of doing things once in a great moon in hopes to please the community. Then they immediately turn back to their old ways, basically saying sucker... -
20 RepliesI still don’t understand why the haven’t clarified the orbs changes. That was weeks ago and they said it would be fine because of another change. But they aren’t telling us the other change. That should’ve been a priority after they saw how the players reacted.

1 ReplyIts a great twab, lot of good changes. A couple of questionable changes too like the ikelos SMG nerf but whatever. I hope we get lengthy twabs like this more often. I always get so hyped when twabs have a ton of information, even if some changes don’t go through, its always good to see what the devs are working on. Thats one thing I wish every game developer understood

2 RepliesLikely due to the backlash from the nerf train they just ran through. The space magic nerf was done to balance out the weapon power up. When will these idiots realize that they need to tell us that a major buff is coming when they announce major nerfs. It’s stupid. Almost like they want us to get pissed then they deliver some “good” news like it makes up for it. I’m still leaning against getting it

1 Replyikelos nerf was still unwarrented

However there are still some lingering issues like PvP imbalance and connectivity issues that haven't yet been acknowledged. It is clear that Bungie is on the warpath for better in-game experiences however the ramifications of the new "tweaks" are still yet to be seen. Reprising weapons for crafting is a great thing, however simultaneously buffing HCs also leave a question mark on the effect of 50% of the other weapons. There are many pluses, please don't misunderstand me. However my greatest reservation is the stability/lag since Cross Play was introduced. I'm still waiting for a better gameplay experience. Cheers Guardian!
