In terms of special effects? Amazing. In terms of world- building? Pretty good. Writing? So-so. I thought the writing for this episode was the weakest of the six. While it was fun revisiting Luke as he was at the end of Return of The Jedi, and the point was to show he was an inexperienced teacher…it was painful hearing one cliche after another come out of his mouth. As he literally had nothing to add to how he himself had been taught. They were trying to portray him as Zen Master with the lifting of the frogs from the pond and it just fell flat. I think Luke was trying to teach a lesson about being in tune with the Force itself. That he was aware of all the frogs, and not just the one Grogu wanted to eat. But it just didn’t work for me as a scene. I thought Rosario Dawson continues to do an incredible job portraying a mature Ashoka. Having Cad show up also felt like fan service, and it feels like they are setting up a showdown between Din and Cad.
