Realistically the only thing to do is keep running ascendant challenges and making sure you exit through the portal (with the sword on that challenge) and hoping for it to count the one you're missing

No it isn't. Only the tangled shore + hallowed lair/broodhold and the Forsaken campaign are being vaulted.

Oh my god this whole time I thought the Dreaming City would be gone too... Well that means I can keep trying I guess even after the Witch Queen launch. I have tried running all the challenges multiple times, but no succes.
