I'm not around as much, came back when I heard the awful Seraphim news. Made me remember the memories I've made here, and the great people I've known.
So how are you filthy animals doing? I'd love to hear from some old faces (and heck, some new ones as well).
Who's popular these days? Who's President? Any tomfoolery I should be aware of?

1 ReplyI've been fine. Kind of swamped with music auditions, but at least it's something I enjoy. My bowling team made it to a state tournament, first time we've done it in like 3 years, so really pumped about it. How about you? Life been good?

1 ReplyHi it Nil I still write stories no one reads, post music no one listens to, and occasionally make a room temperature IQ level shitpost that lingers in New for weeks. I don't really know who's popular anymore or what tomfoolery the younglings are into these days, I kinda stopped paying attention. Outside of here I mostly sit around listening to music, thinking about writing and D&D. Trying to find the motivation to play video games, lately catching up on stuff I've missed in Elder Scrolls Online. Tell ECCHO I said hi and also that Arby's stopped selling ham and swiss sammiches

9 RepliesLife has been hitting me recently but I’m pushing forward still. Got broken up with, got in a car wreck and nerve damage in my back, my job is unbearable and I’m considering quitting….so yea. On the bright side, I moved out in my own place. Got an amazing new circle of friends, and I’m about to graduate college with a bachelors degree at 20. So things aren’t all bad

I want to move house but all the places around me are way too expensive. I could move farther away which would theoretically be cheaper, but then I’d have to pay to commute every day which would end up not being much different. I don’t like relying on public transport anyway as I work odd shifts and the busses/trains often don’t run late enough, which is why I’ve always stayed within walking distance (I’ve happily walked 40 mins both ways before lmao) of work. We’re supposed to get a pay rise in April so I’ll see where that leaves me. I told myself I was semi-retiring from this place, because of the way I would dive in here for hours at a time and ignore the rest of my life, and I managed like a month I think? I have made some positive steps recently so I think I can continue posting here on the basis that I don’t slide back down the mud-caked ladder too far. Perhaps I’ll get banned soon, I reckon I’m overdue one. And then we have the actual great big terrible thing that I’m asking for an extra day off work to try and get my head around. Mental health is such a difficult thing to get a handle of, especially when your default state is barely coping. I think I spend most of my energy pretending that everything is fine. Perhaps that’s why I find being around people so exhausting. I was on those shifts a few years ago; ‘condensed hours’ it’s called. Where instead of doing 5 standard days you do fewer days with longer hours so you don’t lose any money. It sounds like hell but it really worked for me. I don’t do other things on the days I’m in work and it gives me an extra day to get on top of myself. Perhaps I’ll see a therapist on my new day off, it’s the kind of thing people go to therapists for. But I can’t afford a private one and the waiting list for the NHS is ridiculous. My sister was in the throes of anorexia the other year; the GP said if they left it much longer she’d end up in hospital. NHS gave her 3 months to wait for a place at a clinic; private place saw her in 2 weeks.

2 RepliesIt’s been good. I’m hoping to get published this year, which is pretty nifty. Acro’s president, but now that I think about it, I think the new election should be soon.. And he never posted my story thing he said he was going to. I haven’t seen him for a bit, actually. Looks like our presidential curse survival count is still only 1. No other tomfoolery comes to mind.

1 ReplyHello! you are an old-timer I presume, I was a newish fella in OT since 2020, I like to shitpost and lurk, but this place keeps getting emptier and emptier, not enough old-timers, and too many new kids. I was named Ghost Wolf up til recently when they -blam!- the names and your precious spartans.
