This just isn't working...
PS people just appear and disappear, don't take damage, shotgun me dead before they're even on my screen, etc.
Obviously this isn't PS players fault. Not Xbox players fault.
Please investigate and fix, or allow us to turn off crossplay.

Like I suggested in another thread, Bungie should offer two different lobbies for PvP: one crossplay and another for local platform only (i.e. only Xbox players).

On PC, playing against people on console is super frustrating. They are consistently laggy and I know it goes both ways. Just ruins it for everyone
-
I love it when players claim its the playstation’s fault or its an xbox fault or pc’s fault. Guys the real culprit is cross play in general. I play on both console and pc and the experience is the same. The lag, hit registration is fairly bad on all platforms regardless of connection. Bungie has clearly not perfected cross play so lets just hope they improve it so we can have some consistency.

Same here on PlayStation going against xbox players. Something about the difference in console connection is just so off putting even with great internet and refresh rate.
-
Agreed. It looks the same on the PS side. When we play XBox players in comp, we cring for the same reasons. Not their fault. It's just that the system sucks.
-
Agreed. People on both platforms (playstation and xbox) have been reporting this since implementation. But all we get is silence.
-
Bungie refuses to even get dedicated servers and people expect smooth crossplay? Lmao
-
you can turn cross play off in settings. You won't be able to play Trials with it off, but the rest of crucible should be ok.

Connection issue has been a lot lately
Please investigate and fix, or allow us to turn off crossplay.
I don’t think they care, or they cant do anything about it, otherwise they would have actually tested the connections in pvp instead of strikes, and would have at least acknowledged the issue after months of feedback. At least on the PS5 there is an option in the game to turn it off, problem is after you do that you only match others who have done the same so you can’t even find a Control game before you time out at all times, and when you do find games you just play the same guys over and over again. If they cant fix it, it should be turned off for pvp, or at the very least change it so that you can match everyone on your own platform regardless of their settings for as long they are not partied up with players from other platforms.

While correlation is not causation, the common denominator has always been Xbox. Don't have issue with PC, and obviously no issues with other PS players. But whenever Xbox gets involved, more issues than not. From what I can gather, it's an issue on Xbox side - not the players, but Xbox's network as a whole
