Taking charge + supercharged + protective light Taking charge + supercharged + argent ordinance Taking charge + supercharged + lucent blade Taking charge + supercharged + high energy fire Taking charge + supercharged + kindling the flame Taking charge + supercharged + energy converter These are some of the builds I have for charged with light that specifically depend on making orbs with weapons. No orbs and these builds aren’t as useful. There’s other ways to become charged with light but none of them are nearly as reliable as orb generation.

My super energy gain sits fine using ashes to assets or hands on with a build based around them orbs generated by weapons are inferior to either of those mods.

It’s not about supers. The super gain from mw orbs is pretty minimal anyways. It’s mostly about how this is nerfing all CwL builds. Taking Charge is the single most important mod in the game if you ask me, aside from MAYBE high-energy fire. And they’re nerfing it into the ground with this.

What makes orbs so great is that they are situation and energy neutral. They buff supers, builds, heal, and work on team mates. Yes wells technically do, it is just that they are energy specific.

You are missing the point. Weapons generating orbs is used to get charge of light stacks. You do this with the mod "Taking charge". Taking orb generation off weapons makes that mod pretty much useless, unless you are working as a team and feeding off each others orbs from super kills/casts. But i guess everyone can just use "elemental charge" which is a better mod anyway. Well mods are crazy good. Be sure to get them if you dont have them. Weapons generating orbs has very little to do with super energy gain. There are plenty of other ways to get super energy.

They want us to use wells instead of orbs for builds. Typical create an inferior system (Wells) and make us use them. Create inferior weapons and make us use them. They're trying to weaken us everytime. The pattern is old and never ending.

No. CWL is why you want orbs... i.e. protective light

Orbs are nice for super energy, but the real utility comes from CWL and mods like better already.

The orbs created by master worked weapons are more use for charged with light builds than getting your super back faster.

The amount of super that you get from master worked weapons orbs is laughable and people need to remember that. Charged with light is what most people are worried about. Bungie said that a weapons TWAB was coming that would make the changes make since and I hope that's true.

Bungie still has unannounced weapon changes, and perks like Thresh and String of Curses exist.

we already don't need weapons orbs, super energy inside pve is fine , the remove of orbs from weapons only make a little little harder to get cwl the best mods in the game
