Pinnacles were likely the #1 reason sunsetting happened in the first place, bringing down so many weapons with them. I see zero reason to bring them back and repeat history.
I’d love to see everything else become unsunset though, at least the older raid weapons.

If limited weapon use is the actual concern, why isn't anything being done to PvP and the massive use of hand cannons and shotguns? It is has been the status quo for 2+ years. In PvE content, people still use very similar loadouts in most encounters. If you look at raid analytics on third-party sites, you can see the same general weapons being used (Witherhoard, Night Watch, Fatebringer, Null Composure, Cartesian Coordinate, Gally, Xeno, Sleeper, 1K Voices, etc). I don't feel like weapon usage is a good argument when all sunsetting did was shift the meta like the seasonal artifact does. Really, I just want Recluse back. The removal of the precision-like damage with MoA was enough to bring it a good spot and would be fine today. I only got about 5-8k kills on it before it was sunset, but the Ikelos SMG I had for less time overall has over 15k kills. It was strong, but you also had less range than Multimach CCX and Shayura's Wrath. Recluse had around 54 range, while Shayura's has around 70 and Multimach has 68 with Iron Reach. This is one of the reasons why I won't suggest Destiny to friends. I can't guarantee them that their time investment into anything is going to be worth it. Bungie can change their mind and nerf or remove things, claiming power creep or some other reason, then introduce stronger or unbalanced gear later on.
