That was the most boring chase scene I’ve ever watched
Yes, it was slow. But it did something all new star wars shows/movies should do: use cheesy effects rather than cgi. That’s what I liked about the mandalorian and now boba fett; they aren’t relying too heavily on cgi. Somehow the effects make the show seem more….feasible so to speak.

Edited by Seraph: 1/15/2022 9:37:28 AMIn my previous post about this series ( the Episode 2 discussion ), I commented on the fact that I think the show is okay, but I keep waiting for it to Wow me, to impress me. That feeling hasn’t changed with Episode 3. There’s just something about this show that isn’t working for me. There’s actually a review for Episode 3, by Rolling Stone, that I think sums up one of my core issues with this series - Boba Fett is always getting his -blam!- kicked, especially in the present day storyline, where he’s desperately over his head, and constantly needs to be saved by someone else, and hasn’t really done anything to show that he’s the ‘biggest fish’ in the metaphorical pond. The lead character of the show, is completely incompetent in his own storyline. And this is especially problematic for Boba Fett as a character, because the character did -blam!- all in the original Star Wars trilogy, before he died like punk ( defeated by a blind man, who was still defrosting from carbonate freezing) in Return of the Jedi. Boba Fett is a character who’s reputation greatly over shadows his on screen deeds. The Book of Boba Fett was supposed to finally give this character his due. It was supposed to show him being alll bad--blam!- and awesome. Instead, they’ve turned the character into a joke. He’s a feeble old man, who can’ protect himself,, he commands no respect, and he doesn’t have a clue how to do the thing he wants to do.

Looked like a bunch of Vespa scooters chasing a freezer and 5 mph. Why didn't the sand people just hide behind a sand dune when the train went by? Why did the train guys bother shooting at them? Dumb directing.

After hearing about this episode, I think I'll wait until episode 4 comes out as a palate cleanser.

Scooter kids but with steampunk flair, that Pontiac-GTO-speeder was pretty slow too...
-
Don't forget mopeds...

Edited by SparkleGuy: 1/13/2022 5:03:10 AMFacts Also, mopeds 😂

4 RepliesEdited by Bone Empress: 1/14/2022 1:32:01 AMIma say it again, this is Steven Seagal level trash. Everything about this show has been terrible so far. Just realized Robert Rodriguez was directing this so the Spy Kids biker gang makes a lot more sense.

2 RepliesOh my GODS…I just can’t with this show. Wtf are they doing? This is BOBA FETT gods damnit! Seriously; who green lit this crap?!
-
Machete tho...

1 ReplyThat chase was hilariously slow, like what the -blam!-.
-
3 RepliesThat chase needed to be faster. It looked like I could run along side them.
-
3 Repliesnot gonna lie kinda disappointed he didn't beat up the children

What’s with the cyborg tee-blam!-? It’s not cool, guys. That chase scene was soooo lame. Also why doesn’t boba fett do any fighting? It’s his body guards mostly….
-
1 ReplyHis kill count in The Mandalorian is higher than his kill count in book of boba fett

bunkerHave fun and dont be my friend Thatch! - old
The droid-humans and their bikes look like something out of a 50’s movie that’s about the future -
George would have loved the B-Movie 50's American style of landspeeders; 3.5/5.0
-
But that’s how mods were in the 60’s, boring. =P
-
Ok cool other people think that too lol. It just felt so awkwardly slow.
-
Agreed. But other than that, I think it was a pretty good episode.
