By “Gas Giants” I’m talking about Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus (the planet), and Neptune.

For everyone on the science front…Ummm. Cause riding around Nessus on a floaty bicycle is absolutely feasible. Think before you talk -blam!-.

Something like the infinite forest or hidden taken platforms/throne world in the midst of the storms would be a sick mission.

Only if your goal in life is to be bathed in lethal radiation (Jupiter) and then crushed like a beer can by the pressure.... Seriously, though they've already dipped into that well. Io and Europa are part of Jupiter's system of moons...and Titan is one of Saturn's.

Could have a floating type base in the gas giant. Jupiter Rising I think did something like that. They pulled back the storms to enter. Was great defensive position

1 ReplyGas giants have no solid surface, so it would have to be more moons like Europa, Io, and Titan. I'd really like to see Pluto as a destination eventually.
-
I want the sun as our next destination

Will it be less laggy on these planets?

In a computer game, no reason why not. Maybe Vex can create habitable bubbles within/at edge of the jovian planets, or whatever. Maybe Hive can place their throne worlds in the core of a gas giant or star, or maybe that's what black holes are! I would personally prefer it if they went galactic or intergalactic at some point. Big reveal, what's been happening in D1 D2 is a tiny piece of a local supercluster wide event. What happened to the countless species decimated by the Hive? Surely there must be some interesting tech left behind ....
-
Well if the Vex can turn an entire planet into a machine in days, then I’m pretty sure they could do something about those gas giants, they could also make some -blam!- pull story about how the dorito ships were hiding inside of Jupiter this whole time or something too
-
Useless it’s some kind of orbital platform or suspended floating island then it’s gonna be hard to do patrols when there’s nothing to walk on.
-
You cant stand on a gas giant, how would that work?
-
dog fights in destiny when?
-
They will make it soon, I read future patch notes that a burrito and Chile eating contest is connected to a new event revealing a brand new heavenly body. Likely it would be Saturn, or maybe just Uranus(not a gas giant) with it's methane clogged atmosphere. Only time will tell, but I'm definitely waiting with bated breath and buns for my silent but deadly, one cheek sneak, and flaming gas emote.
-
Would be really cool, although not entirely sure how it would work scientifically. That said, we don’t need everything to be scientifically possible. Space magic exists in destiny lol
-
>Uranus "I'M VERY EXCITED NOOOOW...~"
-
It would be interesting for a raid like how we went to the space station orbiting Europa could see a similar ship except maybe the Clovis AI went insane on that ship or something and we got to turn it off.
-
Our guardians are fragile enough to be killed by a stomp mechanic… Amongst other issues I am not sure they would cope with the massive gravitational forces
-
The only logical way I see this happening is one of the Nine somehow manipulating the planet to generate a hidden destination concealed inside of a gas giant, or one already being there. Other than that… probably not.

2 RepliesAs far as I can tell there’s no mention of any golden age facilities on then like at all so while interesting it’s more likely not gonna hay
