So, me and my buddy were shooting the -blam!- tonight and talking about Clans and the MMO features that are in Destiny 2 and he said I should make a Forum post. This is my first time doing something like this and I hope you guys like these ideas as well. I love this game and if you're reading this you probably do too. If people respond positively to this one, I'll probably post some more of my ideas here. Thanks for reading! 1. Clan Identity- At the start of every season we have clan resets where we earn a new banner and our clan buffs and clan level gets reset. My idea is an addon to this system. During this time what if our clan was given the opportunity to vote between a certain number of new armor sets that Bungie has curated for this reset, we'll say 3. The poll will stay up for the first 24 hours giving everyone in the clan a chance to login, see which one they like, and vote for it. Whichever one wins the popularity vote is the only armor set from the 3 options that will be available to that clan. It is available at Hawthorne immediately and if a player really doesn't like what won the vote they can choose to move to another clan that fits their style more. However, doing so will remove their previous clan's armor set from their collection and inventory as a consequence for doing so. This prevents players from clan hopping simply to collect all the armor sets. A clan should be a community with its own unique style and character that is defined by the players that inhabit it. Now back to the fashion. This armor at first is purple in rarity and stands on its own well enough, providing a framework for what it will grow to be. As the clan levels up so will the armor with an upgraded version being available at level 3 and a final version at level 6. (Example: Upgraded- now it has a bandolier and looks cleaner. Final- now we have fur on our shoulders with the bandolier and some engravings on our chest, arms, and legs.) The upgrade from cool to badass. Sure, there will clans that have the same armor set and that's unavoidable with so many clans and players in the game, but it will still add a little bit of character to the clans and give their members access to something more special and personal than a banner. 2. Clan Specialty- To individualize clans even more I think the top clans in these 4 categories should have their banners hung by their associated vendors areas. Vanguard (Nightfall), Gambit, Crucible, and Trials. For Vanguard, the clan that holds the highest Nightfall score that week will have their banner hung beside Zavala. For Gambit, the clan that completes a Gambit match the fastest will have their banner hung in Drifter's area (maybe out in the front of the entrance and/or inside?). For Crucible, the clan that has the most guardian kills will have their banner hung beside Lord Shaxx. For Trials, the clan that holds the most Flawlesses will have their banner hung beside Saint-14. If any clan is discovered to have won any of these categories by cheating their banner will be removed, the player(s) responsible will be banned of course, and who would have been second place will take their place. On this note, I also want to put this idea in the hat, every clan that achieves one of these goals will also receive an exclusive shader for whichever category they won. These 2 features combined makes the members of this clan feel even more special and will give the top clans in the game something to compete for and be wear as symbols of pride for all its members. These are all the ideas I considered worth posting and I hope you liked them. I especially hope that Bungie likes them and can find ways to implement them.
