I believe some to be strong, just depends on whether or not you use them. Osmosis and unrelenting are strong perks, they are just not that popular. Popularity, however, does not correlate to the true strength of perks. Most “meta” perks are fairly the same in terms of strength to a couple on this list, they’re just easier to use, therefore more popular (that is not to say perks like rampage, for example, aren’t strong in general). These two perks are strong, just have to utilize them.

  • i do agree that unrelenting might be a tad strong for a weapon mod, but at the same time, is it better than minor, major and boss spec? Osmosis i currently find very underwhelming, and way to punishing to use, when you compare to the benefits of the perk. you have to main the weapon and you lose 5% damage since it loses its kinetic status.

  • Regarding osmosis, you’re not using it to deal damage, you’re using it to deal with shields. I’d love a test server where they test these ideas.

  • in general i don't think Shields is so much of a problem for Osmosis to be needed, and for a shield breaking purpose i still find the perk way to situational. The whole (lose it after swap) is what makes the perk so . . . situational. maybe make it so you don't lose the perk until you die? just something to make it more user friendly also . . . . Osmosis on a primary vs Arbelast in any area where match game is a thing :D

  • While I agree osmosis is outclassed by arbalest, that doesn’t mean the perk is weak in and of itself. Perhaps it could use a change, but I believe it’s fine as is.

  • true Osmosis is not weak, but its just a very, very niche perk, that rarely gets to see some play. which is why i think making it a weapon mod, would be a good idea. and even if they turned it into a weapon mod, it still would have to compete with the damage mods. weapon mods are all about utility and niches to begin with :)

  • That’s fair.

  • maybe even make a Osmosis spec, that works like rampage spec and surrounded spec where it enhances the current perk. Rampage spec = + 2 sec Surrounded spec = extra damage Osmosis spec = lasts until you die
