Yeah this game is incredibly boring now and only Destiny 3 could make it fun again.

  • The same people who made D2 would make D3, how would you expect it to be any different?

  • There would be new planets, new strikes, new crucible maps, new new new. New modes new loot structures, new engine that can be worked on easier, dedicated servers, new new new That’s what the game needs. New everything.

  • Oh please after the first year the only new D3 stuff would be returning D2 stuff.

  • Considering we’ve seen this play out already, moving from D1 to D2, I’m inclined to disagree. We have precedence for this kind of thing failing, we have none for it being a good idea. I support Bungie moving away from serialised releases. Primarily because that decision was based on experience.

  • Yeah and Forsaken was the best Destint has ever been which was Destint 2. So the experience is we got the peak of Destiny in the sequel. Sounds great to me. But I suppose you muppets are happy in the same old playlists that never get updated until the end of time. That old rusty hamster wheel.

  • Uh, no. I raid. My primary interest in this game is my friends. Not running override and strikes. I just don’t believe that a skin deep and superficial change is what destiny needs to stay relevant moving into the future. Also, can we engage is civil discourse, please? Just because we have different opinions doesn’t give you any need to refer to me as a muppet. To me, Destiny 3 would just be more sunsetting. Then we would grind back to the exact same state with the exact same problems. I want the problems to be fixed, not just repeated for a third time.

Every single dlc/expansion release forces us into the old playlists which never get updated. The only way they’ll get updated would be with Destiny 3. Crucible is horrible with this primitive peer to peer networking. The only way we’ll get dedicated servers is with Destiny 3. This game is starting to show its age with other games like Halo releasing. Destiny 3 would bring a lot of new stuff to push it forward, little things even. Destiny 2 brought mantling and always sprinting. Think of what Destiny 3 would bring in this area. More open maps as well, instead of these tiny planets with little playable sections. Maybe open worlds where we could sparrow across open lands and get missions from outposts all over the place. D2 is old now, and it’s all just the same old same old with systems and playlists that haven’t been changed in years. We need a new game.

  • They already announced new PvP maps and WQ will ship with 2 new strikes, this is already on top of the weapons that get added to the playlists every season. And considering Chosen came with a strike I wouldn't be surprised if we see a new strike throughout the year with possibly even some reprised strikes. They won't do D3 as its not feasible.

  • I heard Halo Infinite is noticeably slower than Destiny 2. If this is true I wouldn't want to do that, we had real slow guardians at D2 launch and they had to speed it back up because it sucked. Any know tried Halo infinite?

  • I have played dozens of matches in Halo Infinite. Player movement is matched very well to TTK, unlike D2 which has excessively high speed of player movement. You should try the free beta. There is nothing to lose. Halo has a lot offer, such as a practice range, QuickPlay, Ranked play where you can choose the type of teammate matches (controller, keyboard, solo/duo, etc), daily and weekly challenges, Easter eggs, 4v4, Big Team Battle, and more. In short, it has everything that is missing in D2. I liked Halo Infinite so much that I skipped playing D2 PvP last week. Looking forward, I do not see myself returning to D2 PvP much in the future. The 6v6 match type is a chaotic mess. Survival and Trials are worthless.

  • D3 will never happen, and if it does it won’t be in the next 3 years. Get over it

  • Instead we have to let the Destiny 2 game engine lurch from one poorly programmed mess to another. Sunsetting content as it goes just to add new content, because if they don't the damn thing takes an eternity to load. Destiny 3 does need to be a thing and with a brand new engine capable of handling ongoing content additions without slowing load times or the AI freaking out and teleporting around when it shouldn't. (Remember when battlegrounds launched -blam!- teleporting Cabal everywhere)

Content vaulting was mostly due to game build compiling times. It allows them to patch the game much faster than they did before and make more gameplay changes in a much smaller amount of time since they don't need to compile a build of the game with a -blam!- ton of content that barely anyone plays. Bungie will not do Destiny 3 its just not feasible. So they are supposed to cut off all support for D2 their only game on the market they make actual money from right now to make D3 in a brand new engine which will cost a lot of time and money to create? Yeah, no thats a dumb business decision. Even then if they could "support" Destiny 2 they would only have very minor updates that don't really go anywhere and would have long spaces of droughts between very minor content updates.
