How do you know all the content in the anniversary pack and witch queen deluxe isn’t going to be worth it?
Because strikes are boring? Hell that’s a big reason I’m getting all that content. I love playing this game and want to play new stuff. I’m not going to sit around and wait for Bungie to give me a lot of free content. I’m going to pay for the good stuff right away. Play that and the drip fed free stuff everyone else gets.
Maybe it won’t be worth it in the end. The anniversary content is asking quite a bit of money without necessarily indicating it will be significantly more content than I would normally get from a $10 season. But I love playing the game. I’m willing to take a chance on it.

For all we know, it is likely to be the same amount of content from the previous content drops and the price increment is unjustified. - You are charged addtional for a dungeon, which was added in prior DLCs (Forsaken, Shadowkeep) without additional costs. Strictly leaving outside the 30th Anniversary bundle in this matter. - Speaking of 30th Anniversary Bundle: the fact that Bungie is adding weapons into the fray for a $20 price tag clearly shows they are ready to test the waters to sell equipment for cash - very close to P2W considering how broken the gun was during D1. They have been done teaf in regards to what is being added into the game and coupled with their feigned ignorance with handling Eververse and the respective seasonal events, and the recent Season Pass models clearly shows how much they "care" for their loyal customers. If you're willing to take a chance then by all means go for it. Don't come ranting back into the forums after spending $100 when the content you get is barely compared to a $40 drop.

You (we) don’t know.
- You are charged addtional for a dungeon, which was added in prior DLCs (Forsaken, Shadowkeep) without additional costs. Strictly leaving outside the 30th Anniversary bundle in this matter.
You are only charged additional for dungeons if you don’t buy the deluxe edition of Witch Queen. If you were already going to buy the $100 edition you won’t notice a difference.
We’ve had weapon’s locked behind expansions and season passes already. How is this different? And how does this make the $100 edition not worth it? Getting some weapons exclusively for buying the edition adds to its value, not subtracts from it.
My relationship with Bungie is predicated on there being stuff to do in Destiny. If I’m not interested I leave and play other things. So I’m fine with Bungie making more stuff to sell to me. Whether it is a seasonal activity w/ an exotic to chase, or a larger dlc dump. I’m also ok with them making stuff for Eververse so you can customize your appearance even more, none of which you have to buy to enjoy the game. As for events, sure I’d like it if there was more, but even simple tower decorations is more than I get in most games.
If you're willing to take a chance then by all means go for it. I’d say I would have more right to be disappointed than somebody who didn’t pay for the content making a big deal about how not worth it it turned out to be. I doubt I’ll be ranting, but if I find it all to be disappointing I won’t pretend it isn’t. I’ll share my opinion like everyone else. But again, at this point we don’t known the content is disappointing and not worth it. I hope that it’s fun, because I love having reasons to play this game.

It is genuinely good to hear people enjoy playing it but for me I just don’t find it fun anymore. The constant roller coaster or backlash and the one step forward and two steps back thing is just tiring to me now. Glad you are enjoying it though

Well if you don’t even think you’ll have fun with Witch Queen at its release, then yeah, the content price won’t be worth it. But if it usually takes a few months or more for the “why and I here” feelings to set in, then maybe at least the regular edition at $40 will be worth the price for the new content. I tend not to get too emotionally wrapped up with Bungie’s decisions. Do I like all of them, heck no. Can I live with most or all of them, yeah seemingly so. I’m a passenger on this ride of Bungie’s. I can get off at any time. And a few times I got burned out and left for a bit. But I always find my way back, because I do enjoy the ride. Finding new favorite guns, seeing story unfold, exploring new area, fighting in new arenas; Are all reasons I keep playing.
