If You Really Care About Queer Folks You’d Let Us Change Usernames
This is absolutely ridiculous. I’ve been able to change my PSN ID to my chosen name, but my dead name is still in my bungie ID which of course is the one that pops up on destiny. I can’t delete my account to make a new one nor can I change the username which is absurd for many reasons — but ESPECIALLY If you claim to support the queer community. Cuz you should know how harmful it can be to not be able to use your chosen name. Fix this ASAP please.

Personally, I'd consider it respectful to be treated the same as everyone else. If everyone was allowed to change their name freely, then great. But if only supposedly "queer" people get to do it, then what does that show for the people you're claiming to represent? Queer used to be a slur, and now it's just another made up term to acquire the never ending victim points to spend on special privileges. You wanted to be treated like everyone else. Congratulations.

Online names that use the person’s real name are bad online names. The only way to make them worse is to also have the year of birth in the name too. That aside, I think Bungie plans on having a way to change your Bungie ID. I think you could before they enacted Bungie IDs, but if you didn’t do it by a certain deadline you would be stuck waiting until they roll out being able to change it at a later date.
