Known Issue: Increase in Rutabaga Errors
A group of individuals discovered and reported an issue where players can generate more orbs than intended when triggering some supers. The team has been working on a fix for this, currently targeting December for release.
To prevent exploitation of this issue, the team has deployed some changes that will force Rutabaga errors when players attempt to reproduce the bug. With this change, we are also aware that players who experience extreme sustained framerate hitching in PvP environments may encounter this error more frequently than normal.
If you encounter Rutabaga errors when playing in PvP environments for reasons other than reproducing the orb generation issue, please respond to this thread with details on what you were doing when the error occurred.

I just got on and apparently I'm banned from loading anything pvp related I checked my internet connection and it's fine but I never did anything to get banned for and If I did I wasn't provided with a reason to why I was banned

I was in a trials game. Won the first round then the game kicked me out. It was my flawless game and my team won the 2v3 but I lost my flawless cause it was my second time getting it on that card. I was averaging a 6.63 k/d on that card for absolutely no reason since y’all kicked me out twice

Edited by ThatoneBard: 10/25/2021 6:07:06 AMI was playing crucible when all of a sudden my frames dropped below then and i was shortly kicked afterwards, i tried to modify my game settings and it changed nothing. it just seems to happen around 15 seconds after joining a match. i thought that activating my right caused the problem but in a second game i meerly ran into the map and i got kicked. i would like to note i did not alt-tab and this is the first time that its happened to me before

Just got kicked twice in a row from trials and now in a comp time-out. Both were at the very start of games 1st time while charging a getaway artist grenade and the second just while being shot didn't alt-tab or go into menus or anything like that.

just a thought but if you garbage servers dc me i should not get a time out from trials, i have exelent internet, fix your -blam!-.

I got banned instantly after my close crucible match has ended, me with my friend just testing some weapons in close custom crucible match, after what i got ban on all crucible and all gambit playlists, bungie, why?

i've lost 3 6win passages for trials due to the rutabaga error code kicking me out when we're about to win the game, anyone know if i can get my passages back pf something along those lines?

I have multiple monitors and use Alt + Enter frequently to swap from Full Screen to Windowed mode so I can use my other screens for DIM, Discord, web browser, Slack, etc. I received the error code at the end match screen in Trials when I Alt + Enter to check a message. I also get ~40 FPS when looking at my roster in-game. The frames remain low until I exit the roster tab. I have a high-end system running a Ryzen 3800x and a 3080ti. Not being able to do either of these for another month or so without fear of getting some sort of game ban is a no bueno for me. Everyone looks at their roster when they are in-game.

you're kidding, aren't you!! I've played for more than twenty games of trickery in a row and no climbing with high points! And another one I'm only playing destiny 2 this year, because you "Bungie" aren't being transparent with the players!! game crashed, what do you want and earn money!! Activision was right, left a company if that's a company!! you Bungie are very greedy!! Enough for me!! I will play call of duty and other games!!

The map menu is getting FPS Drops that can send you to orbit , same to alt tab. PLEASE FIX this ASAP, even if you need to shutdown the servers for a couple hours but please focus on this that affects all people that can even just alt tab to use DIM or someone with a low end pc that has frame drops

Hello, team! I've been constantly hit by this error it has become a haunting nightmare for me. I try to do an activity, and my frames just... die. Either a black screen and straight back to orbit or just inconsistency of frames. I've already lowered the graphics settings in-game to the lowest it can go, and still find no solution at all. I was doing kinda fine before, but now I barely get any playtime. I thank you beforehand

The device I play D2 on currently is not the best, so frame rate drops and and subpar performance are pretty common. With this change now every time I try to load into pvp or Gambit I am instantly kicked with a time skew maxed error, so I am essentially soft locked out of them for the time being. Appreciate the effort the team puts into dealing with these emergent problems, so I realize this is complicated to address, but I figured I would still share how this change is personally impacting me negatively.

I opened up the steam overlay while loading into a trials match, which then kicked me and ruined my 15 win streak

Rutabaga error triggered by Time Skew Maxed whilst playing trials. Alt-tabbed out of the game for 2 seconds to change song and that caused Time Skew Maxed, and inevitably a comp PvP suspension when it happened again. Basically, you can never alt-tab even for a second in comp PvP, or this will happen. Cheers, Al

I've never got this error before and I'm definitely not getting low fps in game 130-200 fps 4k ultra settings. It only happens if I alt enter and have disabled the full screen optimization for the exe. If you don't disable the full screen optimization it works like normal. Not doing anything with orbs btw (edit) after reading some comments I'm not getting low fps in menus or frame dips just as soon as I alt tab or alt enter out of the game to change something on second screen then it kicks me out

I alt + tab to look opponents up on DTR. Did this in between rounds and received the Rutabaga error code.

I was playing trials with mmy clan mates and after the 3rd round I started lagging and getting framerate issues. then suddenly was diconnected with a "Time Skew Maked" with the rutabaga error

Got a "Time Skew Maxed" with the Rutabaga error within the first 2 seconds of loading into a trials match. After restarting pc didn't receive the error again.

As ever, Bungie are so terrified of potential gain for a few players that they eagerly implement a backend "fix" that affects ALL players in a much more significant way than the original problem ever would.

My fps drops to 40 when i check my friend list or any type of menu..... I have a 3080ti... Its driving me crazy I have a second account from the Battle net days And that does not happen with that account It makes NO SENSE

I just got a rutabega error code after dying in the crucible. No alt tabbing or anything else going on.

Happened to me as well earlier in a private match, was 1v1ing a buddy to warmup before trials and I had alt tabbed into DIM to pull over a couple weapons when I tabbed back in and got error coded and the error message of “time skew maxed” never seen this error code or message before until now

Loaded into trials for the first game with my buddies and got immediately kicked for frame rate drop. Insta-banned shortly after.

Tried to play trials, got kicked instantly. Tried to play survival, instantly banned. Didn't open menu or alt-tab. I got the error code immediately after the intro ended. (for some reason my fps crashes at the beginning of every match.) Furthermore, I have been experiencing bizarre technical problems for months. Problems include drop in framerate and dropped button inputs. FPS meter fluctuates wildly, screen sometimes freezes on same frame for multiple seconds. While experiencing the problem everything I do seems to happen in slow motion. (getting punched 3 times in a row before I can finish the animation to cast barricade, sprinting but barely moving forward, as if in molasses) Strangest of all, the issue gets better and worse in different situations. Things that make the problem worse: larger numbers of players in activity, crucible, VoG in master mode specifically, getting shot at by players. Things that make the problem better: being dead, staying in the same activity for long periods of time without switching playlist. Please help I am going insane trying to fix this

I alt-tabbed out in the middle of a trials game and I had a bit of frame rate issues when I alt tabbed back then was sent to orbit due to a rutabaga
