It's not the dive. It's the grenade & all the buffs from the aspects. As a hunter main you should know the difference.

No, they aren't because only those people trying to be difficult are trying to pretend people don't understand that the act of getting "shatterdived" is referring to the combination of having a glacier nade thrown and usually simultaneously having the shatterdive mechanic used.

You act like it's hard to spec for grenade spam. There's even a fragment that gives you grenade energy just for taking damage.

Between specing for discipline, running double bomber, whisper of torment that gives you grenade energy just for taking damage, you can have it practically every 30 seconds, which might as well be instant on. Not to mention whisper of shards, which gives you increased grenade recharge when you shatter crystals, so they literally chain together.

I'm a warlock main if that matters. But they are calling for a nerf on the wrong thing. Shatterdive ALONE is out dps'd by a toddlers blanket. The issue is the aspects & the buff given to shatter damage.

Edited by F1reDawg76: 10/4/2021 4:33:05 PMIt's the near instantaneous shatter, which comes immediately after the nade is thrown which is the problem, because it leaves almost zero time to react, especially if you get frozen by the nade. The dive ability either needs a wind up like a titan's shoulder charge or ballistic slam to make the combo at least take more effort to use, or be tied to the melee to make it less spammable. Or glacier nades simply need a damage nerf so shatter damage doesn't cause a OHK. Most nades in this game are not OHK anyway, so glacier shatter damage doesn't need to be either. Most people know what the issue is and what is causing the damage, and even if some don't, Bungie does and they will figure out a fix.
