The witch hangs around the orbs to break her shield and yeets anyone off the map if you get close. The orbs aren’t breaking her shield most of the time.

  • The witch guarding the orb is just obnoxious, spiteful design, and I think that's relatively new. But IMHO not a bug. Bungo wants us to die, so it's working as intended :-|. It seems to take 2 or more uncharged orbs to break her shield, one charged one typically does it.

  • The witch used to be at the opposite side of the orbs so you could get to them. Also I really meant the the witches shield seems to respawn almost immediately but the ppl I was playing with wouldn’t pass the orbs to charge them anyway and when I tried to get it I was flown off the map constantly. I have no idea why there is no quality control at Bungie. There is hundreds of game bugs that have been around for a year and never been patched .

  • The relic does swap sides along with Sedia, but will quickly switch back to its original location if you don't get her below half health before the second damage phase begins.

  •
It seems to take 2 or more uncharged orbs to break her shield, one charged one typically does it.
Can we report people who don’t know to charge the orb as a bug? Coz if so it’s one that literally makes me want to leave that strike every time.

Yeah, (in case someone reading doesn't know) they need to pass (throw) the orb to a teammate (or they need to throw it to you), and the person receiving it needs to be (sort of) facing the thrower in order to 'catch' it. When you do that you'll see that it glows more and makes a 'charging' noise. At that point it will do a lot more damage. This is yet another inscrutable 'trick' that there's no way to discern and no helpful hint or documentation about. Lazy Bungo relying on players to inform each other, yet again. If we reported all the undocumented 'features' in this game it would make a pretty big list. Another special example of this is the heroic public event thing.

  • Oh I know what to do. The problem is randoms who clearly don’t. They either play ‘I’ll keep running away so you can’t see my face’ ‘It’s mine you can’t have it’ ‘I’ll never stop shooting so it auto throws in the wrong direction’. I’ve tried taking the time to message randoms who clearly aren’t aware of the mechanic (and sometimes they do actually take it onboard), I’ve even stood in front of them doing the “I’m open” emote way too many times to count. There does come a point though where even the most willing of players begins to find the experience infuriating. Pretty sure it does actually explain the mechanic via a hint at bottom of screen when first playing the mission during Forsaken campaign - maybe they should add it permanently to the strike.
