So you’re asking whether a macro that basically plays the game for you counts as trivial?

 • It's not playing the game for you, its simply automating a mundane task.

 •
It's not playing the game for you, its simply automating a mundane task.
Going to the tower, getting bounties, going to a destination, completing the bounties, then completing the bounties and doing the cycle over is the literal definition of playing the game for you.

 • No it's not I don't know why you would make this assumption. This system would simply allow me to level my character when I'm not actually playing so I am able to actually play the game with ease when doing grandmasters, master vog etc.

This system would simply allow me to level my character when I'm not actually playing so I am able to actually play the game with ease when doing grandmasters, master vog etc.
So your theory is that leveling your character isn’t part of playing the game? Leveling your character while afk is the literal definition of playing the game for you. Playing parts of the game you don’t like is still playing the game, not “automating trivial tasks.”

 • So would you say it's acceptable to macro killing thrall?

 •
So would you say it's acceptable to macro killing thrall?
What part of “playing the game” is confusing to you?

 • If you think sitting for hours killing thrall is "playing the game" then you need to find a new game.

 •
If you think sitting for hours killing thrall is "playing the game" then you need to find a new game.
That’s not the only way to complete bounties. Flying to a destination and killing things as part of a bounty is, as I said, the literal definition of playing the game. If you don’t like doing that, maybe Destiny isn’t for you.

 • I never said it was the only way? It is just a way better way. Why would I waste my time killing thrall when I have the option to automate the process and literally do it in my sleep.

 •
I never said it was the only way? It is just a way better way. Why would I waste my time killing thrall when I have the option to automate the process and literally do it in my sleep.
Which is literally—literally—having your macro play the game for you.

 • But under the terms of service, that would be acceptable.

 •
But under the terms of service, that would be acceptable.
Leveling up the artifact is also pretty much the definition of a challenge faced by all players. So you seem to be wrong on that count.

 • But using a macro to assist with shooting your weapon is allowed therefore it is contradictory.
But using a macro to assist with shooting your weapon is allowed therefore it is contradictory.
You seriously need to learn to think. Bypassing a large part of the game via an afk macro is hardly equivalent to a macro helping you overcome a disability or problem with using the controls. Edit: tpyo

 • I agree. But digitally what is the difference is my point.

 •
I agree. But digitally what is the difference is my point.
So your brilliant theory now is that if it’s possible to do with a macro, it’s all the same?

 • No I’m saying what is the difference between using a macro if you actually need it and using it because you want to.

 •
No I’m saying what is the difference between using a macro if you actually need it and using it because you want to.
Doesn’t matter, since that’s not the distinction Bungie is making. Is critical thinking not taught in school, anymore?

 • You seem to be questioning my thinking when this is irrelevant. At the end of the day from bungies perspective, it is the same and this leads to abuse.

 •
You seem to be questioning my thinking when this is irrelevant. At the end of the day from bungies perspective, it is the same and this leads to abuse.
Not according to what you quoted. Also, when you’re trying to make a point, your utter inability to follow logical thought processes is, indeed, relevant.

 • My Personal opinion should not matter when I present you with facts

 •
My Personal opinion should not matter when I present you with facts
Point to the “fact” that says Bungie is cool with macros for anything. The quote you chose for your OP says otherwise. Additionally, your entire argument has been a poorly constructed straw man based on what you seem to think Bungie thinks, despite the quote you grabbed disproving it.

 • All I did was propose a combination of a series of trivial macros that are individually abiding of the rules to complete a mundane task.
