So I have been playing Destiny 2 after the new patch. Minus a few crashes I have been able to play. Then today, I had left D2 open while I was asleep, there was some unknown error on my PC, I clicked through it thinking it was unimportant. Come to find out I can't open the game without it crashing. It either crashes as I load into the game, or it crashes as I load into a combat zone. I was able to successfully load into the europa non-combat zone, but I tried teleporting to the top side of europa, and it crashed. I have tried some other fixes that have been reccomended online like turning off all your overlays (I only use steam and the Nvidia recording one) and the game still crashes at either the loading screen that takes me to the character select screen, or when I am loading into a combat zone. I have tried hard reseting my pc, and I even uninstalled and re-installed the game. Once I reinstalled the game, I got the error that is shown in the imgur link. After I closed that box, and restarted my game, it was doing the same thing as I stated earlier, either crashing at character loading screen, or when I load into a combat zone. The last picture is the farthest I got into loading into a nightfall, before it crashed again. I am trying some of the solutions I see online now, but I wanted to make this post for anyone else who is having this issue so they can hopefully see it and maybe be able to fix it as well.
PC specs that I can find just in case:
Intel Core i7 6700
16 GB of ram (Modal Manufactor:G. Skill. DRAM Manufactor:SK Hynix. Park Number:F4-2400C15-8GVR)
Dell pre built motherboard (Dell xps series, I forget the exact model)
Nvidia geforce gtx 1070 (8GB of VRAM)
Just gonna copy and paste my google search "werfault.exe application error 0xc000012d"

The first fix on this list ( https://thegeekpage.com/werfault-exe-application-error-in-windows-10/ ) seems to have fixed the issue, although I am dealing with some stuttering when I zoom in on a snipe in the tangled shore patrol zone.

1 ReplyI would suggest you update your GPU drivers on Nvidia.com and also check if there are any windows 10 updates you are missing. Outdated drivers can mess with the game's performance. good luck on finding any help besides mine tho.... been stuck with my issue since last week. Id recommend you keep posting this every now and then, these threads get lost REALLY fast. before i go, -blam!- this Forums Community non of you guys are helpful. PEACE!
