  • you need to reinstall it by doing the following. go to (this pc/ program files x86/ steam/ steamapps/ common/ destiny when here just move the file to desktop (Do not delete!!) also move battle eye out of the destiny folder and to the desktop so it seperated from the destiny folder. then exit steam and restart it. in steam go to library/ destiny it will say (install) or update it depends on steam either one is fine click update or install then move destiny folder back into common folder and steam will read that the game is installed so that you wont have to reinstall it to save time. when done start destiny and it should prompt to install battle eye, install and should resolve your problem

  • that doesn't work...because it's not a file missing in that folder. it's the api-ms-win-core-path-l1-1-0.dll file that's missing in system32 and syswow64. the battleye installer doesn't put the file down. I've tried reinstalling battleye multiple times, used the batch file multiple times and all have failed. prior to this, battleye wasn't used and no one had a problem. battleye is introduced and now a large amount of people can't even launch the game. if we revert back to the older exe of d2, i'm pretty sure everything will be resolved.

  • what i have done to try to resolve the problem is to do this go to this pc/ program files 86/ steam/ steamapps/ common/ destiny when here just move the file to desktop (Do not delete!!) also move battle eye out of the destiny to desktop so it seperated from the destiny folder. then exit steam and restart it. go to library destiny it will say (install) or update it depends on steam either one is fine click update or install then move destiny folder back into common folder and steam will read that the game is installed so that wont reinstalled for time but steam should reconize any missing file and reinstall them as well replace any corrupt files with fresh new and it should work fine. i have done this many times
