Here’s my really simple and easy take on this fiasco. This should work for both sides of the argument
If you actually paid for the game and expansions: all armor you unlocked is available for transmog and 100% available free of charge or materials. Make your guardian the way you like, like other games allow you to.
If you’re a free to play player: you get what Bungie is currently offering. Bungie needs to make money to support staff and game development. You’re playing for free. You want to make your space wizard look cooler, you can buy/grind the cosmetics and materials to do that.
Simple. If you have PAID FOR THE GAME, you deserve everything the game has because the already bought it. If you didn’t, you have to buy it.

They do f2p so bad and like they keep trying for WoW cash and in 2021 it’s not going to happen. Why ruin the game or income they have for the chance at more when they’re doing their absolute least to attract and keep new players. I mean I see people actually telling new lights to quit because bungie just doesn’t give a damn. I’m blown away.
-
There aren’t both sides of the argument. There’s having the correct opinion which is that this system is stupid and greedy and then there’s the incorrect opinion that defends Bungie lying to our faces. They said we could just pull armor from collections and convert them to ornaments. This is a middle finger to everyone excited for transmog.

Yeah, if you're up to date on the current expansion and season, you should be able to grind out infinite materials at the very least, with the option to buy to skip the material grind (like FTP players) but without the material limits imposed on FTP players.

No that will split the community so badly Please do not ever try to be a developer
-
And? Sorry. If Bungie wants this absurd predatory levels of throw money at my screen....., make everything free to play and monetize the everpurse like they are.
-
Please don't ever try to a dev
-
I like how you have nothing else to add to this 😂
-
this is a good idea.
-
Ur definitely free to play aren’t u😂
-
This is not a Free-to-play game. What they are passing as F2P, is really a extended Demo. F2P means I don't have to buy the Dlc's, just the season pass.
-
Nope, beeing playing since Curse of Osiris though I have remade my hunter alot of times as of recently
-
Can’t have an issue with a fellow hunter
-
Poggers dude, now lets win some more Guardian games 😎
-
Agreed though now that hunters aren’t getting screwed over like last year Zavala won’t be glowing about his Titans domination
-
Cayde gonna be shooting his Golden gun in his grave when we win 😤
-
100% agree yo Ever since bungie made destiny 2 f2p so that other people came in and tried the game I felt like all the investment and money put into expansions and shit just went to the dump and felt like a big -blam!- you thanks for your money. At first I wasn’t against it because I had friends who wanted to get into destiny but not buy it. I thought the f2p model was like you get to get a taste of the game and if you like it you can buy all the other meaningful content and shit. But instead they went overboard with the f2p model and kept building on it. Like with the -blam!-ing battle pass which I hate.

TheShadowBungie is no more... - old
This is how it should be, but you know as well as everyone that isn't ignoring what needs to take place? Bungie is going to create a half-backed solution so they still get away with what they deliberately did. That's the problem with this company, they keep deliberately creating problems to sell their BS. -
Create a problem and sell the solution. A lot of game companies have been doing this for the last decade. They have been following the example from banks, food and pharmaceutical industries.

TheShadowBungie is no more... - old
This is true, but Bungie wasn't this bad back in the Halo days nor while they were working on D1. -
Nope. They wernt. Wish they would go back to that mindset 😞

Good one
