The Main Reason Why Players Are Toxic and Leave Destiny 2

Because these things happening to 95% of all players, all the time. And those 5% profit from peer-to-peer. Why aren't we allowed to play Destiny PvP, like it's intended to? When will Bungie realise that the majority of players is Toxic and leave Destiny 2, because of this nonsense all the time. A few examples from yesterday: 1. I think that Bungie just gave up on Destiny 2 PvP........

  • To me the major reason it’s dead is because a lot of guided unbroken sweats are playing to pubstomp with their god rolled hand cannon and god roll felwinters/astrial. I don’t understand the need to show how great you are over and over. They make other weapons. Try something new. People go into iron banner to kd farm for trials. Also something weird Look at people’s stats when they’re stomping you next time. For some odd reason it’s usually a player with no clan and not even over 100 on a season pass. A 1.25kd lifetime but the last 50 or 25 games are 2.25 kd. Makes no sense

    • Iron banner really isn’t fun these day nor is crucible. It’s like every time I am thinking about having fun or just wanting to play for bounties I have to either get opponents that destroys us to the fact that Saladin says that’s it!! Or whew I join a match where my team has only 7 points mean while the other team has something like 79. Plis fix this or actually just delete crucible. Why should I try to do pvp when all I get is losses all the time and 0-5 kills? This is also one of the reasons why people leave

      • D2 PvP has always been a pathetic sideshow, a waste of dev resources, and an industry joke. Most people leave because D2's main draw - the PvE - is, now, sadly, almost as bad as the woeful PvP, and even the sublime gunplay is no longer enough to keep people playing. And as much as it is on Bungo (proper Bungie died a looong time ago), for lack of effort, lack of innovation, and general greed / min viable product etc, it's also on the players too who continue to let Bungo get away with it. Oh, and all the fools who like to play Barbie dress up sim Destiny.

        • Nah bro, that might be the reason you and other PVP guys leave. The big reason that I keep hearing is the rinse and repeat gameplay. Get bounties, do the things, turn in bounties. Don't get me wrong, it seems like they are getting a bit better with story and development. BUUUUUUT, then it's like the presage thing. Bungie be like "Ok get this, we do a cool story mission, they get a cool exotic, then they have to do a master version to get the catalyst, but wait, if they want to finish the triumph, they need to come back every week and do the same thing over and over again without a single thing changing except where we put a chest!" I'm so tired of running that thing, it's damn near muscle memory.

          • I understand how you feel but almost all of those linked examples are bunk. The warlock had an overshield from his titan teammate.The shotgun blast missed. Sometimes it's glitchy af but most of it is due to YOUR ISP, not bungie.

Who here believes it isn't planned? 6- Light-Level Gatekeeping prevents many in the loyal base (who paid just as much as everyone else) to be kept out of a lot of the activities unless they abandon their families, their careers, their grades, and their vitamin D to grind/grind/grind/and grind some more. 7- Removing any semblance of skill matching in [b][u]6v6[/u][/b] PvP causes people not to play. Many won't subject themselves to being fodder for either streamers or those who enjoy mopping the floors.

                • I think a big part of it is, that after 6+ years this franchise still has no idea what it is or where it's going. Bungo has never had a singular, clear direction of what they want this franchise to be. This is also one of the biggest wastes of potential I've ever seen in any video game and I've been playing since the very early 80's.

                    • Man, I loved SBMM. It forced content creators and the uber sweaty people with TTV in their name to match against me and I LIVED for stomping them and putting their sweaty, gross butts in their place. CBMM only benefits the top 1 percent of people, and in my opinion, it's not fun. I don't claim to be the best out there, but I thoroughly enjoy matching against the tryhards and streamers and giving them a run for their money.

                        • I wouldn't hold such a large-conclusion to just PvP/IB in this instance. While PvP is just an excessively chaotic mess that proves "if everyone is overpowered, then no one is" to be an unenjoyable gameplay state, it simply cannot be the reason to quit the whole game. Your argument is ultimately blaming matchmaking on PvP's faults when so many more variables come into play and using it as to why people are quitting the game and or being toxic. The toxicity I would blame on Trials, allowing players to block each other off from rewards is a surefire way to get them to hate each other. Get someone trashing on you like they're on something and the idea of wanting to yeet their system out of their window doesn't sound too bad. Have people regularly deny others success and they begin to appear as villains gatekeeping the loot to themselves for either protection of their glory that goes to their heads or flexing in a videogame where people have grown to stop caring about what you've done because there's a great chance it isn't special. Let this fester for several years, bring the toxic mode to PC and it's no surprise people wanted to cheat at it. Can you even remember the 9 months of PvP prior to Trials of Osiris' inception? I reckon the whole vibe surrounding the Crucible was muuuuuch better. Only crap back then was getting torn in half by Vex Mythoclast, Blink + Felwinter's Lie + bad counterplay movement available on an old console at low FoV ( cause I bet this would hardly be as bad now), and people getting butthurt over Suros Regime's Focused TTK (although I'm pretty sure it does that kind of damage again and no one cares). Iron Banner was actually liked and not a complete meme. PvP in general had no reason for excessive sweat to be running down the sides of your face, and it should have stayed that way. Its very essence has grown to be too competitive for causal play to be a thing anymore and I believe Trials is the root of it all. I mean think about it, this is a good year before Overwatch came out and competitive FPS kinda blew up [again]. So, you have this constant escalation of gaming, in general, entering a very e-sports centered era, Bungie botching D2 to appeal to that, everyone wanting to come back from it, and ultimately reaching the other extrema of that scale because people just wanted more and more. Eventually, Trials would return and unsurprisingly fall flat because the experience is even more dogshit than when it left. You can start to realize that it doesn't matter what Bungie does for PvP, it will suck, and that's because Destiny PvP in general sucks, because fighting other people in this game sucks. It doesn't even matter if you're good, it's simply not enjoyable unless you're completely smashing people and it's practically by design. Take a mode people will be very desperate to win in and hand them absolutely crazy tools and you create a brew for toxic chaos when people get angry (at each other) that stuff is unreachable. More so when skill feels like a non-factor because everyone is basically OP. You can't nerf people's mindsets but you can nerf their tools, however, this doesn't actually stop the beast that you created. And that's more to why PvP can't be saved and why people would stop playing it, it sucks.

                                          • Nah. Even with good matchmaking the complaints won’t stop. People complained when we had sbmm. The main problem is players expect Destiny pvp to be fair n square. It never has been and never will be.

Bosses are still teleporting around: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBUpb5Vhu-Q And before someone brings up the Bungle lie about Bosses needing more space because of object collision, exactly why did the Boss need to telport right to me? There was plenty of room around the thing it was standing on before the teleport. Same crap happens in the Presage with the Boss teleporting their.

                                              • Matchmaking is shit, muricunts always jam their connection for an advantage and people (mostly stasis titans and degen hunters) using bastion and fellwinter. Pve is nice but boring and pvp is just point&click due to balancing issues and garbage map design.
