how tf do i fight guardians

these shits make me stressed out i got back into BotW recently due to a random urge to play it. i’m not very far in. i’m trying to make my way up Death Mountain to free the second Divine Beast. ran into one of these on my way up. i didn’t have any anti-fire potions so i just saved then rushed it to see what i could do. i barely scratched it and died to the heat damage i know Ancient Arrows instakill them, but i have no idea how to get them. i killed one with an Ancient Arrow, but i have no idea how i got it. asked a friend who finished the game about it (i try not to look up a lot of stuff in these kind of games), and he said somewhere in Akkala. i had to google where the general location of that is because it had been a while for him, but i went there and now i’m trying to restart some lab that probably gives it. it’s annoying because i don’t have a map of the area: the Sheikah tower is in a citadel surrounded by FLYING guardians. i looked at it and was like “yeah no -blam!- that” and just went to find the lab Morrowind style by using signs on the roads. at least i liberated a horse from some bokoblins along the way. this lab should give me more Ancient Arrows right? if not, how tf do i fight these damn things?

The best way I’ve found is to get as close as you can as fast as you can. A few strikes to their legs, and they come clean off, stunning them briefly. Once yu break one leg, it’s easy to break the others, keeping them stunned. Other arrows won’t insta-kill them, but a shot to the eye should stun them as well, letting you get close to start hacking their legs off. And finally, if you can git gud at parrying them, reflected lasers will make quick work of them. It’s also worth noting they’re considered “Malice” enemies, so the Master Sword will power up when you’re near one. Edit; also, fighting them early on is generally not a good idea. You should generally just run past, or otherwise avoid them, until a bit later in the game.
