Bungie has said it will be added at a later date. That will not be for at least another 2 seasons.

Why would it take 2 seasons to add it back? I have already been waiting for a whole season.

People who only played the normal zero hour mission have been waiting for the catalyst alot longer than one season. I did heroic so had it masterworked for a long time. It's nice.
