Transmog without unvaulting shaders is a half-measure.

Title. You want to take a stab at cosmetics done right, you have to unvault shaders from previous seasons. I know, they're technically not sunsetted . Destiny went free-to-play since those shaders were available, and a lot of people have no way of getting them. But they do still take up space in RAM. So either they keep going with this disposable mindset and stop supporting last-gen consoles (temporary fix), or they re-inject them (and therefore new life) into the game. But it's just cosmetics, right? Wrong. This study; https://cyberpsychology.eu/article/view/4340/3412 shows that customization directly correlates to player autonomy which drives up engagement. You want new players? You want returning players? You dangle those armors and shaders in front of them and they'll come running. To you old players, with chips in your shoulders about playing a far inferior game and letting new players who haven't put in the time have the same or better goods as you; A) Get over yourself, you're playing a video game not fighting a war. They're not ribbons and medals, for god's sakes. If you're a good person, you should be fine with others getting to enjoy the game not bogarting digital goods. B) There's no reason they can't earn such gear the same way you did. The fact is, even if new players were able, there's no path to it, at all. That just doesn't seem fair. And holding goods hostage to artificially increase the value of each season isn't fair either.
