Network Help needed.

like most people in this section of Bungie help, I've had a 2 week restriction of matchmade activities. While its kind of bullshit to be banned for, since everyone understands that here in the community, i'll reserve my comments on that. What I AM here for though, is some advice/insight into what could be causing my constant unstable connection. I'll list a few common information people seem to ask for, I'm using a wired connection I'm using a decent pc (i5 7400, rx570) my internet plan is around 200ish mbps for download and 6mbps for upload. I've looked at the network troubleshooting guides on bungie and on multiple other website, and tried (what seems like) everything. I don't think my restriction was placed unfairly as I have been getting weasel error codes constantly for a year. (and i've ignored them) I've had few friends tell me I was lagging in pvp, so no complaints on my ban. After my restriction was put in place, I spent a day and a half looking into what kept causing my high fluctuating ping. I found out that my internet recommended 8 devices connected and I had 14 connection. After disconnecting some unnecessary devices, the problem was seemingly fixed. I used overwatch as a benchmark for my internet, as overwatch was unplayable to me because of constant rubberbanding. After the disconnect, there was no problems other than a few hiccups. Since then, I encountered no major problems up until this morning. I started up a last wish raid at 11:40am PST. Everyone in the fireteam was affected by bees, anteaters, and extremely frustrating "Contacting Destiny 2 Servers" Other's seemed to die down after a while. But mine kept going. I was taking damage long after i left the damage source, and we barely got Shuro Chi done. So here's my problem where I need the advice on what i can do. I use Xfinity, and well.. their customer service is less than favorable. I also use a tplink wifi extender. (This was one of the devices i disconnected) I have a seperate modem and wifi router, and I use a 6m ethernet cable to connect my pc to the modem. Looking at overwatch ping, it always skyrockets to 250ms or higher. looking at resmon for destiny 2, it could stay at 80 in orbit, then go up to 580ms when im in the tower. I have not changed a single thing since I initally disconnected all my devices. Why has it suddenly gone to shit? There was no download, no other program up other than an anti-virus, steam, and destiny. My anti-virus might be a problem but I hugely doubt it. I plan to go back into pvp after my restriction is over, so I'd very much like to fix it before I do to avoid additional restrictions. Please don't post the network troubleshooting guide and say "take a look at this". it has never helped anyone with their problems, and frankly its a waste of time.

  • The difference between download and upload speeds is huge; that can easily generate problems of a high jitter. Go here https://packetlosstest.com/ chose default and run a test and post a screenshot of the results on a site like imgur.com and link it here.
