I have a few: (separated by type)
RTS: Hearts Of Iton 4 (Pain in the ass to learn but fun once you figure it out), Age Of empires 2 (truly a classic), Star Wars Empire at war (one of the best Star Wars games to date)
Simulation games: Stardew Valley (Super simple and relaxing to play), Elderscrolls 2: Daggerfall (One Of the best fantasy sim RPGs to date, I recommend the unreal engine port if you don’t want to deal with classic Bethesda)
FPS: CoD Black ops 1&2 (Two amazing campaigns plus some good multiplayer if you have friends who play and use a private lobby), borderlands 2 (Still pretty good, and it’s not very memory heavy so it’s easy to run on any PC), Halo MCC (It finally-Blam!-ing works so you don’t need a super computer to run it), battlefield 4 (really good multiplayer, and the campaign is Okay.)
Retro styled: Shovel Knight (Really Good game in general), terraria (One Of the best games for both casual and hardcore play), Minecraft (It’s minecraft, shouldn’t need more to explain it than that.)
RPG: KOTOR 1&2 (Get mods for 1, its jenky as hell without them, 2 doesn’t need them but thy do make it more interesting), Morrowind (The only Bethesda game that works out of the box without mods.), Enderall (Not a classic RPG, but it is one hell of a ride)
Adventure: Skyrim (I hate this game because once you start going in depth to it, it only takes a couple hours of digging to reach the bottom, still very fun.), Witcher 1,2,&3 (Some Of the best games to have the pseudo RPG style.), Cyberpunk 2077 (Bugs aren’t honestly that big of a game killer, though they do change the tone slightly as you will be giggling like a madman at some of them.), Uncharted series (Never personally liked this series but it’s still really good), Last Of Us 1&2 (1 is the better story wise but 2 plays a lot better thanks to better combat, stealth is still dumb though.)
Fighting: Street fighter series (A classic), Dead or alive (Tig Biddies and shirtless dudes, a very decent fighting game otherwise <Lots Of DLC nonsense>), Deadliest Warrior (Older game, but it stands up as a great party game to play with friends on or offline.), Persona 4 arena (Hey look, a bunch of characters you like beating the hell out of each other for barely any reason. Still, a great fighting game with some cool gimmicks)
Soulslike: Dark souls 1,2,&3 (One and three are the most balanced but 2 is really fun regardless), Bloodborne (It’s still one of the best games of the decade), demon souls ( under-appreciated in its original release, but remaster brings it back to its glory), nier automata (Questioning why I put this here instead of action, but whatever, it’s good.)
Plus more I can’t recall or think of a genre for (Namely Dragons Dogma, Which is super good).

Oh hey, Empire at War!
-
It’s by far the best Star Wars game for pure quality. Battlefront 2 (2005) does have it beat for pure chaos though

I thought the old BFII came out in 2008? Regardless, I’m glad to see someone else who knows it. Such a good game. 👌
Sorry, all out of salt.
Time is an illusion.

Edited by Psyntifik: 1/12/2021 5:04:34 PMMostly agree but no mention of Original Sin 2 in rpgs is criminal, and those are some of the weakest fighters out. Dragon's Dogma is also an RPG, but idc I'm just really glad someone else is thinking of it.

I haven’t played much fighters or original sin 1 or 2 (mostly because I forget they exists every time I try to buy them.)
I haven’t played much fighters or original sin 1 or 2 (mostly because I forget they exists every time I try to buy them.)
2 is highly recommended. It has a level of depth that takes a little to get your head around, but it's the best cRPG to date.

Eh, I’ll check it out when I have enough free time.
