I've been thinking about Iron Banner a lot lately. It used to be one of my absolute favorite game modes but now there doesn't feel like a good reason to play it. So I was thinking of some ideas that might make it more fun, just wanted to see what other people think or may want to add. 1. Changing the game mode. To be honest control can be fun but it's a bit old hat now. How about rotating game modes? It could start small, Maybe each Iron Banner and then move onto a daily thing or rotating each match if well recieved. I think they made it one mode for ease of entry but having it only control limits they types of bounties and leads to so many sweeps or get swept. 2. The armor. I don't hate the designs of IB D2 armor. I personally prefer D1 IB armor. However, we have recieved the same sets now for how long? I think it's either time to reintroduce old sets from D1 as "filler" or get some new designs. We've done European Knights and Samurai from many different eras. Why not try something new; Vikings come to mind next but it could be even more creative than that. We could do Ninja, we could do Greek/Roman, we could even do something more folklore focused like Oni. These fresh ideas would keep the community engaged a little more. 3. Mods/ Weapon/ Armor benefits. I do like the sound of some benefit to using IB armor/weapons in the mode. Maybe you capture bases faster in the armor. Maybe a whole new perk that focuses on working as a team actives (think heart of the pack). Maybe certain matches certain weapons or archetypes have a benefit to using them (rotates). Maybe play off the "Aeon Exotics" but as a legendary perk that triggers if you use an IB weapon and an ally does as well. These are all just ideas. Maybe some are too strong or unbalanced and need refining but I'd love to hear other people's ideas too!
