Why is the overload auto mod so inconsistent. I just did the Glassway NF and multiple times I am shooting an overload champion and it doesn't get stunned. I empty half of my magazine even. But when I use overload scout it only takes 3 shots. Bungie, can you please make overload auto more consistent and make them work?

Yeah as soon as I realized how shit it was I reset my artifact lol -
because there's only one specific round that stuns the champion, it can come at 2nd or 10th bullet you shoot. it's inconsistent, try divinity or just throw a grenade

Stopping overloads is inconsistent in general. Not just that mod. I’ve farmed a lot of this nightfall and if the captain decides he isn’t going to be disrupted, he will ignore everything. Taking every hit him a scatter, standing in a flair or stasis bubble, taking an entire mag of overload scout rifle and not getting disrupted. In my most recent runs, the Minotaurs at the end would get disrupted in every way except actually getting staggered and ending health regen. It will make the disrupt sound, give me my grenade back, and say I have disrupted the champ, but boy of boy he isn’t disrupted. They’ve been quite glitchy with disruption since it came out. I might be crazy, but they seem to be far more prone to ignoring disruption since beyond light came out

I had one yesterday where the champion took a whole clip and didn’t get stunned. All I could do was laugh at that point.

I’ve never really had an issue with my gnawing hunger stunning overloads tbh. Stun with auto, toss a grenade and finish with anarchy.

You try for head shots? It seems to be RNG. I use grenades, it's basically guaranteed.

It's usually the 5th to10th round in a magazine and it only refreshes once you reload.

They should make autos and smgs for barriers, scouts and bows for overload, hand cannons and pulses for unstoppabled. Sidearms are pointless in master and gm nfs.

AR's are shite for Overloads. I'm thinking Bungo just needed to fill up another slot on their magical artifact happy crap so they threw that mod in the pool last minute without even bothering to make it work.

Scout rifles are waaaaaay more consistent in this regard. Autos just don’t get the job done because by the time the overloaded rounds are up and ready, the dbag has teleported away and you wasted the overload portion. Scouts will allow for you to disrupt him easily. Thermal overload from the artifact does well with dusk field or warlock solar nades as well

That's why I just throw a dusk field nade charge and Lament. Barriers,same thing.

It does not work by applying continuous damage as it says. How it actually works is by giving the the magzine a on hit proc that triggers a "damage boost" buff in the left side of your HUD with a overload property. This is why over load autos often bug out and do not do any thing when the weapon remains active after the initial clip/magzine if its not stowed and reset. Keep in mind Bungie did not make destiny 2 and they are blundering their way through as best they can.

I genuinely hate the way overload rounds work. There's so many better ways they could've been implemented. If anything, unstoppable & overload should have their triggers swapped, since you'd want to do continous damage on unstoppables & time your shots on OL teleporting -blam!-s.

You have to prefire. The gun is going to glow and once you feel a little push back, that is the actual overload round leaving the gun. I think it’s about 8 rounds the overload shot leaves the gun. I usually shoot at the ground or wall before peeking out.

Question is when will bungie fix it??? And when will they fix the bug of them getting that shot off after you hear the disrupt sound?

Auto Overload is inconsistent. Royal Chase, Tresspasser, and Nightwatch for me. That with the artifact grenade mods and overloads are continually stunned.
