On PC I would always prefer an SMG over a sidearm. But still I don't want sidearms buffed, since it's SIDEARMS. They should not be stronger than SMGs. Sidearms should remain a niche weapon on PC.
Are you high? I outgunned a 3 stack in Elim, 2 shotty users and a Last Word, with my Fool's Remedy. Sidearms don't need a buff, they're actually really good if you can land your shots (I'm on controller btw). SMG's on the other hand, absolute dogshit. Cold Front kicks like a roided out horse on bath salts, has the mag size of Ill Will with Braced Frame from D1, and does the damage of slapping someone with a wet piece of single ply toilet paper. I had a roll with Steady Rounds, Arrowhead Brake, Dynamic Sway Reduction, AND a Counterbalance mod and it STILL was garbage with recoil. The other SMG's in the game are practically irrelevant because of how bad they are.
Maybe he is on PC (PC as in keyboard+mouse). On PC sidearms are inferior to submachine guns. Nobody uses sidearms on PC, except when they are needed to complete a "kill stuff with a sidearm" bounty.
You are a gamepad user on console, for you it is probably the other way around because sidearms have no horizontal recoil.
What do you mean, you cant get 1 taps with the sturm beserk mod combo without drang on pc. Tho dont try that combo with stasis because stasis super kills dont count as super kills except on a body hit from the hunter revenant super otherwise those count as shatter kills which dont proc berserk. 2 super kills gives enough of a damage boost to 1 tap for 25 seconds with sturm overcharge.
