Video-Sequences make my performance die (from over 60fps to around 5)

Since the last update I have the problem alot of video sequences seem to have an extreme performance problem. While I have absolutly no problem and high fps when I play even if there is alot of action around the sequences play with a maximum of maybe 5 fps and rather being a freaking slide-show than a movie. The first problem is of course I cannot watch them but there is another problem - Im geting forced back to the menu after a short time because of "low fps" and have to start all over from the last checkpoint again. The message after Im geting forced back to the menu tells I should check for the code RUTABAGA but it's not helping at all. I've also tried to find some players with experience and knowledge or ideas to fix this problem but nobody was able to help. Another weird aspect about this is that some sequences just play fine. For example I tried the story Prison of the Elder and the intro (with the execution) is played just fine but the sequence after the first mission is not... in this very example Im not even able to cancel the video with escape. It does not work and soon Im geting forced back to the main menu... My GPU and CPU is just fine and got no problems - even while the sequences are playing everything is fine and my drivers are all up to date. So that is not the problem. here my specs: CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1231 v3 3.40 GHz GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti RAM: 16 GB OS: Win7 Pro

  • You're not the only one. Been going on since this thread: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/257536107 There was another where they were asking us for our dxdiag via pastebin, but I can't find that thread. However, from my own digging, it looks like most of the issue is Windows 7 and DirectX 11. I believe your video card is supported for DirectX 12 (you can double check here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/technologies/dx12/?ncid=afm-chs-44270&ranMID=44270&ranEAID=msYS1Nvjv4c&ranSiteID=msYS1Nvjv4c-6BidcWcEVbyGd_CtsVQoRg ) and if you update your drivers, theoretically it should work. Unfortunately I can't test this myself without buying a new graphics card as I'm just shy of being able to get 12.
