Freelance or not, I still find myself in mercied games due to Bungies forced 50% win ratio.

I was in FAR less mercy matches than in past Iron Banners. Not every game was close, but they were closer more often. Before if a team got a Power Play that was it. That team was gonna just keep steam rolling you. But this time around, I would see back and forth power play segments. And the first team to get a Power Play wasn’t necessarily the team that won. Didn’t mean there wasn’t a sweat-lord or two in the lobbies, but it never felt like I matched against 6, or 5 and their “casual” friend. lol

so it had nothing at all to do with not capping and defending the zones. or even getting farmed for kills. it's all Bungie's fault huh?

It's amazing to me that people that are capable of reading & writing believe that a game developer can micro manage millions of players' w/l record at all times.

That is a myth. There is no forced win ratio. The statement all that bullshit comes from was that the sbmm system puts you up against players of roughly the same skill level so that you will naturally win about half your games.
-
That isnt a myth then is it. Its what sbmm is.

No it isn't. The matchmaking is designed to match players of similar skill - won/lost records are not involved. I can't say it any simpler than that. It's skill based matchmaking, not record based matchmaking.

Edited by M1DNIGHT GAM3R: 12/15/2020 5:27:27 AMEven if it's not record based, the same effect still happens. You keep playing better and better players until you get to the point where you will win one game against a worse team and then get paired against a better one and lose. If you want an efficient iron banner, teams are still the way to go. I however disagree with the comment Win/loss doesn't matter. Bungie has never announced what criteria you are being evaluated by. Therefore you, and I, are in no position to make any claims on matchmaking criteria. I can only guess that its a combination of Elo and KDA/KD or something more complicated.
