Pinnacle and Power engram drops...
Hi
I was under the impression that Pinnacle drops were meant to drop at least 3points higher than what you have overall, is this right? Powerful drops only 1 above what you have overall? (excluding the artifact increase of course).
Why is it that all my equipment has been between 1250 and 1252 for each armor and weapon yet every Pinnacle or powerful drop has either been unnoticed because it's only dropped at 1250 at any time??
I've had nothing drop for the last 3 weeks over the biggest first highest drop I've gotten which has been 1252, and a couple at 1251 on the same week, yet nothing for weeks? Is there a bug? Coz I'm starting to get very bored very quickly. (My overall level is 1265 on rank 114 in the season).
Have I been doing something wrong?

Once you hit the 1250 hardcap, powerful rewards and prime engrams are a +0 You get a +1 from playlist activity rewards and clan xp engram You get +2 from the final chest in Prophecy dungeon and from the encounter chests during DSC raid

Core activities like the complete 3 vanguard strikes with X subclass, complete 3 gambit and crucible games all drop pinnacle +1. The season of the hunt challenge, exo challenge, 100k nightfall, the raid, and the master empire hunts all drop +2 pinnacle. Power drops do nothing when you hit base light level 1250, All the do is drop at your light level.

Playlist pinnacles (strikes, gambit, PvP & Hawthore) are all +1 pinnacles and all others are +2. When you're about 1250 gear power your powerful drops will only drop at your current level, they no longer drop higher. The only way to progress is get luck with pinnacles then when you go up a level use powerful drops to bring up the gear that's not on level.

5 RepliesI'm not entirely sure, but I think I read somewhere that the only pinnacle drops that drop at such high levels come from endgame content (raids, Trials, etc.) So if I'm right, your strike/crucible/gambit drops will always be 1-3 levels higher. Dont quote me though.
