It's a *more* fair game. The SBMM is super sketchy. Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles could pick more balanced teams for a pick-up game of street hoops.

That catagorically wasn't SBMM. No way in hell. Seasonal KADs of 4.0 Vs 0.8s. Uh-uh, no way. What it probably was was 'team balancing' is farming mode for one or two in team, misery mode for the 8-10 majority.
-
U got that straight
-
I certainly agree with the SBMM being erratic. And if there was CBMM, well I had no idea that Alberta Canada is right next Door to Japan, Korea, UK and Easter Europe (Cyrillic characters) for some matches.
-
It takes a few games for it to find your "skill" and even then there will be some oddball games. But every game will have at least 2 potatoes on both teams.
-
Yea some of the teams seem way unbalanced
-
They're about as balanced as a drunken Russian.
-
Iron Banner is CBMM with power enabled
-
Really? So then why does it say "Matchmaking Prefers: Similar Skill" when you mouse over Freelance?
-
Edited by Yamabushi999i: 12/15/2020 5:24:05 PMJust because Bungie typed that doesn't make it believable. No way ON EARTH was that SBMM. A vague team balancing ( in a freelance mode lol!) perhaps.
-
We are saying the same thing, but with different words. Bungie calls this SBMM, but their matchmaking engine isn't very good... so the teams aren't balanced well.
-
Perhaps. But it wasn't any kind of individual SBMM as it was previously. Players with 400+% efficiency of others isn't merely poor it's not functioning. I suspect but was Team Balancing instead ie E.g. two players average at KAD 3.6 and four others were at KAD 1.0. So the results were horrendous for the majority and easy pickings for the top few in every game.
-
Because Bungie.
-
That's one possibility. Another possibility, bolstered by context clues, is that your initial statement is incorrect.
-
I'd agree with that. This is some crappy broken SBMM.
-
Believe what you like.

I usually do. Cheers, guardian.
