It's a fair game for solo IB players.

1 ReplyI had such a good time farming solo players.
-
Yes I was very happily surprised to see that. It was much more tolerable to the point where I actually enjoyed this season.
-
5 RepliesYes, thank you, Bungie. Now, if only people knew that capping zones is the name of the game and not just running around like chickens with their head cut off! I ended up playing regular IB because of this. It's frustrating.
It's a fair game for solo IB players.
Iron Banner seemed a lot harder this time. I couldn’t get the scout rifle kills in the quest line. Kept getting whacked with a quickness. Of course many players were at 1250 while I was 1229 so that could have been the issue. But yes I loved the freelance.

3 RepliesI sucked in freelance, so I went back to regular IB solo, ironically I did better without a solo queue

2 Repliesholy shit i forgot and did even try it.i didnt' play destiny at all last week. I only played destiny yesterday evening when bored and thought i'd knock out pinnacles so i just jumped in. If there was freelance i literally didnt' notice. it totally missed it. Granted i haven't played much destiny with stasis existing. But man that's crazy. For the record in the regular playlist there it was lots of mercies and i had a bear of a time getting my super and abilities bounties on a hunter cause i suck with hunter supers, stasis freezes me, and the huge majority of my games ended before i got a super. I had to change my gear and add intellect mods to 100 to start getting supers before i heard "i'm calling it." lol. And then there's the fact that i suck with a hunter super and pop the roaming ones only to get stasis or killed. I melee'd out of the arc one by a warlock. I didin't know that was possible. Granted i was a titan main. Oh i didn't buy the dlc so i don't have stasis so that's why. didn't fight fire with fire. Not that fun though cause there arent' great counters. though i did start just waiting for a warlock to pop stasis and then blade barrage. but yeah i remembered why i stopped playing a lot of d2 after an evening with stasis in pvp.

2 RepliesAgree for the solo/freelance mode. Disagree with regards to fair game. My worst IB experience ever and the first one I didn't finish for pinnacle loot/quest. Instead rage quit. Not a single game - whether teams or freelance - where the team of opponents had not at least 2 Unbroken/Flawless sweat lords in it. No fun at all. Git gud. I know. I took a smarter decision. No crucible anymore. PvE enough for me. Take care.

Matchmaking is just as horrible.
-
10 RepliesFreelance or not, I still find myself in mercied games due to Bungies forced 50% win ratio.
-
I had more issue with it than the group enabled one.
-
4 RepliesI mean it's still Iron Mercy though
-
Lmaoooo they finally decide to add it as soon as I take a hiatus from the game. GG, Bungie.
-
2 RepliesI had fun farming uncordnated solo players. Got pletty of kill myself messages too.
-
6 RepliesDid you just say nerf shotgun. Yes I do agree with you
-
Yeah though now it still screws duo teams. Just further shows how terrible their overall matchmaking system truly is. Oh heres a full fireteam. Let's just throw them against whoever instead of trying to match them against another full team.
-
And the majority of people still don't play the f*cking objective. So which ever side has 1 or 2 competent Guardians will win all the same.
-
All I’ve seen are felwinter shotgun apes in iron banner but Freelance has been nice otherwise.
-
16 RepliesIt's a *more* fair game. The SBMM is super sketchy. Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles could pick more balanced teams for a pick-up game of street hoops.
-
It not remotely fair until they have Freelance AND SBMM. One without the other is just a pointless nod towards fair play and reasonable matches.
-
2 RepliesTry finding a match on stadia I can watch a whole movie and still be waiting
-
4 RepliesYes freelance is better play mode if you think that a kick in the balls is better then a kick in the head! Shame that have not addressed that other issue of matches starting without the correct number of players
-
I had no interest in playing until I found out. I played IB for hours and had fun the whole time.

Edited by O M E N IlI: 12/14/2020 2:49:21 AMYeah I agree. I tried playing it with a friend but the constant 6 stack teams of sweats were just a little annoying, still could handle myself but my friend unfortunately was having a rough time. I said there's freelance IB now so could give it a try, unfortunately we don't get to play together but it's better to be solo against other solos than to duo against six stacks. Sooner or later, both he and I were actually enjoying fair games, like I said, 6 stacks aren't really a problem to me I just don't really like sweating it out so much after a couple games. So the freelance IB is a really nice touch and imo is a step in the right direction for solo players. Its not only enjoyable but relatively fair considering everyone is a solo entry, don't often say it but I think Bungie made the right call here.

Its just a shame that the matches are so laggy, matches take forever to find and the frame rates are dropping like flies on PS4 Pro. IB is till trash, with 3 year old loot.
-
My inner scrub still gets mad when I see teamwork from time to time. I have to double check & make sure I didn't accidentally go to regular IB 😅
-
Freelance has made this the most enjoyable IB in many years.
