Edited by QUEEN: 11/23/2020 5:29:36 PMHonestly, the raid is hella fun. But that second encounter, i swear never in my life have i almost fallen asleep in a Destiny raid encounter because of the stupid amount of repetetion and downtime you get.

I am tired of paying for content I do not play. They spend resources on content that only 10% of the player base plays and can't deliver more than one new strike.
-
That Sounds Like A You Problem

Edited by xBraveSirRobinx: 11/24/2020 11:35:52 PMDepends who you run with. I did a couple of clears with kwtd groups (which I have nothing against) Did one tonight via lfg that was a teaching group, they just wanted some high light players. No weapon demands, just suggestions. Was lots of fun
-
My team were using Xenophage on the last fight and did a clean two phase, min maxing isn’t necessary at all...
-
That’s the point it’s ment to be hard
-
Bullying 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
-
My first completion of the raid, no one in the group used anarchy. Although this might have been about contest mode, I don’t know, didn’t even attempt contest.
-
Sorry what? Raids are the best thing about Destiny, play with friends have fun 🤷♂️
-
Assuming this is satire, but if it isn't... That's why people like them, the game is full of more simple content but the raids are what keep a lot of the player base, who will come back every expansion/season far more reliably.
-
get better at the game lol if it's bad because it's too hard that's your fault get the -blam!- over it
-
You can thank a lot of the streamers for that one. They seem to screw up things for everyone else because most of them sit on their ass all day playing a game to help them and Bungie make money instead of trying to help actually improve the game.

Edited by michael: 11/23/2020 1:09:22 AMThe design philosophy behind raids has definitely changed a lot between D1 and D2. In D1 things were very simple for the most part. Even the most complex D1 encounters - Atheon, Oryx, etc... they are about as mechanically challenging as the simplest D2 encounters such as Kalli, Confluxes, and Morgeth. For me I don't mind this. I play with competent people who can grasp mechanics very well and we find them too easy. But for the solo player who LFGs raids, the slow learner, the casual player... this is why so few people do raids in D2. They are very hard. Too hard to bother with. The intense mechanics are why KWTD is so frequently seen in D2. Explaining mechanics is such a chore to someone unfamiliar, it is far easier to just get someone to watch a guide etc because shit is just hard to explain and demonstrate and learn now. Doing Atraks last night day 1 made me really think... wow. Gone are the days of second encounters like Warpriest, killing 3 majors standing on 3 plates in the right order and then standing in an aura for DPS shooting a boss that stands still. This is the new standard. I really feel like this makes raids too inaccessible. Mechanics are good but I miss the simplicity and margin of error in D1 raids and I think I speak for every casual player on this who loved raiding in D1 but hates them in D2 on this.
-
Then don't do them. Nobody is forcing you to raid.
-
Edited by draycole: 11/22/2020 9:29:38 PMI was wondering exactly what's so complicated about raids.... Then I remembered this playerbase can't understand things like control zones and passing the stupid orb during the corrupted strike. And frankly I'm surprised more of you don't find turning your console on to be too complicated
-
Edited by Eververse: 11/23/2020 7:45:31 PMThe new raids Mechanics look pretty understandable. You just need that team of amazing chill players. Hard to find that team. As a solo player lfg-ing would be half the battle.
-
mechanics are simple af, i just beat it. like any raid it takes practice and actual dedication (something this community lacks)
-
Edited by Double07: 11/22/2020 2:36:08 PMThey are going to ruin VOG. lol
-
Yes, let’s go do VoG and stand on Plates! That was the peak of the destiny raid encounters. Stand on a plate and shoot most of the time!
-
Edited by diiigitallab: 11/23/2020 6:40:30 PMI think once we get into the realm of having to write shit down in order to remember where things are (looking at rivens eyes, now security lol) is when we start drifting away from what lfg groups can complete
-
No their not fun a couple weeks in when all you can find on lfg is must have x clears and kwtd 😂 the two main reasons on I haven’t raided in 3 years
-
Edited by SkiesWillPerish: 11/23/2020 4:08:35 PMLeave then, we need more mechanics and less stand and shoot
-
You think raids are just killing ads. Play a different game because using your brain obviously is too much work for you

Edited by LiftAnEye: 11/22/2020 9:26:59 PMPlenty of people who played it for a couple hours and came no where close to finishing it, say it's amazing. So there's that.

It's amazing to me how many people just want raids to be 6 man strikes. Smh.
