The strike playlist needs a rework

For almost 4 years the strike playlist has gone pretty much untouched, keeping some of the worst issues within the playlist get worse as seasons go on with introduction of requirements like the lure charge for example. There is also no fun or extra incentive to run the same strikes over and over again to no end (disclaimer: I know about the adept mods but that will probably only be for ordeals and not the basic playlist). Here are some ideas I had to bring back this incentive: 1. Fireteam kills should count for your own bounties and some quests. This is pretty much required for a season like this with the lure charge but it also releases the stress on the player, stopping strikes feel less of a competition to get kills. 2. Reintroduce D1 like strike scoring with a medal and extra bounty system to support it. I feel like the scoring system gave a lot of people reasons to care about strikes. Some tried to get high scores while we had extra bounties that gave high xp. But I think this could go further by rewarding players extra by achieving tier gold over bronze. Possibly more rewards at the end or chance at rare materials. 3. Strike difficulty. Strikes right now feel way too easy with the ability to just steam roll through hundreds of ads with no difficulty whatsoever and melt all bosses like butter. This is a hard decision as it goes into how would this be fun and challenging but I feel like increasing the enemy density, boss health and ad some more interesting modifiers would make the experience enjoyable. Things like making the same burn modifiers from those legendary lost sectors go a long way because they make me feel strong but the enemies stronger. 4. Rewards. Strikes right now don’t feel rewarding enough to care about them. Sure the Ordeal playlist gives exotics and upgrade materials but we also need a reason to play the original playlist without the stress of high end difficulty. Adding in a weapon like xenoclast is a good step in this direction but I feel like 1 weapon for an entire playlist is no going to cut it. At least 5 unique weapons to go for will be enough incentive for players to go out and grind for. Thanks for reading and I hope bungie reads this to make the strike playlist a fun activity again like it was in destiny 1.
